yes it can be...it can also be from the vent from the top of the cam covers that go into the accordion hose.

thats why people install catch cans so it doesn't go back into the engine.

Thats what I plan on doing in the near future.

A catch can will not fix your blowby problems.

a light film of oil is normal in the intake track. having massive quantities and puddling is something else entirely.

just do a search for it on here i havent done it yet my 89 is 100% stock so i donno how yet and i dont wanna tell u wrong ya know?

k...but those things are freaking expensive! i saw a homemade catch can for a jeep...maybe i can make one for my supra...anyone know about that?
