Hello,
My name Is Jose and I’m the owner of Kaizen Motorsports & performance. I have been around Supras for over six years now and have built many MK3's with 7M's, 1JZ's and 2JZ power plants. I sold Engine clips and engine sets to many forum members years back, to some of the first running 1jz's here on Supramania, Supraforums and Socalsupras. I'm no longer part owner of Driftmotion, I'm sure Aaron has told some of you by now.
This is my own company, I will be creating a website were most of you can buy performance goods for your Supras and engine clips at new prices. I'm working closely with a good friend of mine that brings containers full of wheels and other JDM stuff three times a month to bring over JDM Supra stuff and JZ engines. He is heading to Japan this month and will have more news for me later on.
I have right now in the works with my machinist a fully blue printed, Coated and new oil pump for the 7MGTE. I will have pictures of this pump up soon and will share a little more about it later this week. I will have a motor running with it in a few days to give you guys’ feedback on the pump and the improvements over stock and shimmed pumps. If you are building and engine right now you can send your new pumps in for these services. If you want more info please post here or send me a PM.
Also in the works is a Group A replica pan. My machinist is going to send a stock pan in to one of his sources and will be making a one of for me to show pictures of. That should be happening this coming month. :naughty:
1JZ and 2JZ MK3's don't worry I didn't forget about you, some things are in the making soon!
Thank you all for your time and I'm exited and looking forward to meet your needs.
Jose V.

If you want to buy a new pump, ready to go the price is set at 325.00 for the first 10 pumps ordered. Price on the new pump is plus shipping and paypal fees. I'm the authorized reseller for these pumps. The guy making these is also doing other types of pumps. He is working on a 1jz/2jz pumps for me and he also does domestics too! His website will be up soon. If you have questions please feel free to ask.

Pics of the the First pump I had modified. :aigo: One of my friends was the one that suplied the first pump to be modified. He is also the one guy that is steping up to the plate for the group A replica pan. The pan is going to be crazy and have better oil control then the group A pan!

Price on the Pump new with all the work done to it is set at a sale price of 325.00 plus shipping and paypal for the first 10 pumps. :aigo: So if you are in the middle of a built this would be the time to upgrade your stock oil pump. I will be getting the first 10 pumps made this next week, and should be ready to ship in two weeks after all the work is done to them.

What's done on the oil pumps? Just coating the internals?

What's done on the oil pumps? Just coating the internals?
This is an Email that the machinist send to me. He wanted me to share with you all:
All pumps are disassembled
-clearances checked (gear spur to housing, gear end play and gear mesh)
-ported ( inner corners radiused and oil path smoothed [less oil shear])
-laped ( pump housing and end plate [housing seals better and improves low speed pressure])
-Coated (inner housing, drive shaft, idler shaft and gears [tightens clearances, reduses friction, reduces heat and improves wear])
-blueprinted (clearances set at closer tolerances [improves low speed pressure and reduces losses])
-Relief spring shimmed (1.5mm/.060 shim added [adds 10% oil pressure increases at high speed])
-and assembled with break in lubricant (improves break in, immediate pressure at startup [thick formula primes pump then breaks down into oil to improve over all break in of motor {high zinc content}])
Most of the information will be on his site. For now this is what he wants me to share with you all.

I agree with Joe. Jose is well respected in the Supra Community.
I trust my car and money with Jose any day of the week and respect his knowledge, workmanship, personality and business. I dont like to read disrespectful post against Jose because he is not just out to push parts or make a quick buck. He will stand behind his parts and services.

Wow, this is getting out of hand. The past is in the past. We have both moved on now. This thread is not the place for this talk. The split has not been easy for either one of us, and many things have been said on both sides.
Here is the only thing I posted on the forums about Jose, on 6/17/07:
Jose sent me a request yesterday to take the picture down off my site with his car in it. I did immediately, because I really don't want people to associate us, and I don't want to use his car as advertisement for my company. Jose and I have a gentelmans agreement that he's not going to sell the custom parts Driftmotion is selling now. He's going to make his name with new items and new projects, and I don't have any problem with that.
I talked to the machinist yesterday and told him that I only want a couple oil pumps now, so as not to compete with Jose releasing them on the forum at a special price. Jose gave him the first used pump to prototype on, and I gave him the first new pump.
This thread should be cleaned up and let Jose do his thing.
Thanks Aaron. That means alot to me.

That's my site. Im working on the cart and adding content to it. I have alot of stuff coming so hang in there. Im trying to plan out all the parts of the site right now. Credit car machine is ready to go with online support. Some issues came up on the pumps and the machinist told me this week for sure. They had a compressor fail and can't use any tools untill it was fixed. :nono:
Oil pans are still getting a face lift and the oil pan pickup will be remade.
I'm talking to other sources about CNC machined ported heads for all Toyota engines. Also my own line of springs(after alot of testing the Crower stuff is just alittle bit better then stock) and cams. Cams will be made with the head porting in mind(there is alot to making cams this is just some small information on what's to come) There will be a full race or street head package for all of our favorite inline 6 engines.
Here is a sneak peak of the flow bench jig for JZ engines.

Red7m I got your PM. Your oiling system is going to be a pain to setup. I think with the upgraded 7M oil pump and the pan should take care of your oiling needs. The accusump setup will be a cool adition to a complete setup. The only problem I see with all of this stuff in the car is the number of fittings needed to do it right. I will look in to it.

I guess I'll chime in too and say that Jose is a miracle worker. The first time I saw him in action was on my 7MGTE that I had just got back from some podunk shop. I broke my knock sensor, so Jose and Aaron came to my rescue. Jose popped the hood and started cutting and feeling around. Within an hour my car was running good again and I was in awe. He does amazingly clean work and fast too. I even bought my 1JZ clip from him. Mr. Soapra is my hero.

Crower did the crank. I'm sure he has the same Book. :biglaugh:
I just looked at your crank again, and the crank that my machinist did for the last 7M I put together looks alittle like yours, but not as drastic on the weight reduction.
They hit a hard limit with mine where if they removed any more it would mess up the inherent balance and would require mallory metal added to get the balance back.
It lost 2.7kg's/5.95lbs and made a HUGE difference to the motor's personallity :D

Yes that's what the machinist said about the 7M crank that I was working with. I don't think they hit that mark on the 2jz crank. It balanced out just right. I will take some pics later on today. I'm trying to finish some other stuff.

Jose has a lot of fans. His knowledge, and his work are second to none. I was really discouraged when Mike Urbano died. He was like a brother to me. He was my friend, and my go-to guy when it came to anything Supra. Now I go to Jose. When my car goes under the knife, Jose's gonna be supervising every detail.
Jose: Thanks!

Thanks for the review!
Some news!
We have in the works a full valve train setup for JZ and M engines. Oversized shimless buckets for those wanting high and more agressive lift then with the conventional shim underbucket setups that are available in the market today. Also, Better dual valve springs that affordable and better cams with special profiles to take advantage of the full line of Kaizen Motorsports Valvetrain setup.
Full CNC ported head will be available for all M series engines and JZ series. Add the full valve train setup to maximize any setup. We will have a demo at our booth at SILV.
Also, I will have 7M upgraded pumps--first demo of the upgraded 7M Oil pan and hopefully an upgraded oil pan pickup.

would you be able to modify USDM 2jz-gte cams to fit into a 1jz?
soapra
09-17-2007, 03:21 PM
The setup fee for the CNC and the shipping costs will be high because only one set of cams will be done. If alot of those cams are shipped and made in sets of 10 it will cut the price down by alot.
I can have Cams made for 1jz or 2jz with any special request in duration or lift to fill your needs. No mass produced parts, just a case by case setup, custom tailored to your specific needs.

I worked closely with my machinist to make the first pan, but some one else jump in at the same time to make one and we both have the first set of pans for this project. When I made this post I mentioned that I was making these pans and the one I have will be for sale at Vegas or on here. I would of had pictures of it last night but I didnt have the time to pick it up till today. The first two are prototypes but the next ones will have my company name stamped. I dont copy other companies parts. I provided measurements for the project and wanted something to take to Vegas, but Here are the pictures.(Now I know how companies feel when others copy their parts)

I took the oil pan and showed it here at Vegas and it seems that alot of people liked it. The oil pumps work best if it's new guys, I would listen to GrimJack on this one. I didn't want to make this meet a swapmeet but more of a meet were I could meet new faces and show what's new this year!
I couldn't make it to the drags and the awards presentation for personal reasons but I gave Keith a modified oil pump for 7MGTE. I want to know who got it( need to explain what has been done to it! ) So if you know who was the lucky person that got it please let me know.
The Soapra got a chance to get drifted at HIN on Saturday! It was great to see my car get put together in two days and see it drifting and driven By Ernie Fixmer!

Oil pan udate:
We will make changes to the oil pan with some of the feedback I got from some of you here and at the Show and Shine. I'm going to buy 10 pans for the first run. The Oil pickup will be included with the pan. Price... Im working on a good price for all of us right now.

10-10-2007, 02:20 PM
yea the pan definitly needs baffles and trap doors for help in cornering, also extra ports for oil return from the turbo and aftermarket temp sensors would be nice
im definitly down to be in the first ten i need a road race pan bad\
a better option than one off pans or people sending you pans to be modified is this
get your pan guy to create pan kits
google and youll find some
they are baffles trap doors pickups and such that are sold as a kit for the user to weld onto the pan. they are alot cheaper to make and buy and would sell better than a pan modifying service heres a link to one for a chevy ( i really like this idea)
http://www.kevkoracing.com/oilpan_accessories.htm
toward the bottom is the kit. its cheap has the expansion section drainplug and the trap doors simply a illustration of where everything goes get a tig welder and away the customer goes
Ckanderson
10-10-2007, 02:42 PM
recomendation from me would be a spare port for an oil temp sensor.

We are now working on a 1jz topfeed fuel rail. I think we can make two kinds. One for denso style injector and also for bosch/defi style injectors. We may just stick with one kind but will have a prototype working soon. My Supra needs more fuel, so it's time to upgrade!
Oil pans: Have been set aside untill a better design is produced and also better pricing.
Oil pumps: Everything we had left was sold out! I will be getting some more in two weeks ready to ship!
JZ oil sumps: I've been looking at my oil pressure reading and I have noticed that under hard Acceleration the oil pressure drops enough to let me worry. My new oil pressure gauge is very sensitive and accurate and I can see about 20 PSI of oil drop under hard acceleration. It's not enough to make all go out and try to fix it, but it does happen. My oil pressure is about 6.0 Bar under full throttle and it drops to a little over 4.0 Bar and rises back up once the oil catches on. The JZ sump will be baffled and reworked a little bit to allow oil pressure to remain steady.
This Week: Ernie Heads to SEMA to make new contacts and get back in to the driver seat. Also qualifying for the next D1 happens this weekend also. We don’t know what car Ernie will drive, but there is two S15's that he can pick from.
Also this week: MKIII Noob drop off his car for some TLC, more pics to come.
