It's going to be $65. It will improve fuel flow for people making increased horsepower using a Walbro or MK4 fuel pump at higher fuel pressures then stock. This goes great with my Aeromotive AFPR kit.

Replaces all this! Eliminates 3 banjo fittings, and goes straight from the fuel hardline under the car right to the fuel rail.

I just looked at a 1jz here at the shop, and it looks like the banjo is smaller on the back of the rail, but I would just make the hose a little shorter and include a different adaptor for the rail. So yes, I can make a 1jz version too.
I'll see if I can get that made up by Thursday.

great question.

bigaaron
07-18-2007, 11:59 PM
Absolutely! Buy the afpr kit for $250, and get the fuel dampener bypass hose for $65! :biglaugh:
I'm already the least expensive on the afpr kits, and I include the best teflon hoses and connectors. No one else makes the dampener bypass hose that goes to the stock fuel hardline.

FYI - this pic seems to be the 2JZ. I didn't even realize it when asking back then because clutch line looks exactly the same on 7M. I need to see what the 7M looks like. PM sent for help :)

The 1jz and 7m both have a r154, so it is the same clutch line. The fuel fitting for the hardline is also the same under the unibody on both ma70 and jza70.

Yes, it's not to hard to install, but make sure to use good quality flare nut wrenches on the stock hardline under the car. Sometimes that fitting is hard to get loose. You can order it on www.driftmotion.com in the "ss Hoses" section. Thanks!

just want to make sure that you can remove the pulse dapener with this line on a stock engine and not see any bad pulsing. my dampener broke and leaks fuel and i would rather just do this upgrade now but i want to make sure it will work with a stock fpr and stock pump

bigaaron
11-27-2007, 01:05 PM
It will make the fuel system a little bit louder. On a stock engine with stock injectors and stock fpr you wouldn't see any performance increases, so it would just simplify the fuel system. The pulsation dampener is there to quiet the fuel system at idle.

bcg04
11-27-2007, 02:41 PM
agreed, it made things a bit louder on my setup (walbro, APFR, no J-tube) but removing all that stock crap is a wonderful thing. Also once the car warms up the temps seem to dampen the noise a bit as well. Go for it guru :)

I'll bet the fittings are the same, but I would need a measurement on the length if possible.

got my lines in and they're gorgeous. I'll install them soon but just from looking at them i'd like to suggest wrapping all the lines in protective/clear plastic. I'm going to buy some clear heat shrink that is also fire retardant. Hopefully you can update your lines during the manufacturing process for all these lines, Aaron. The clutch line came this way and looks damned good.

Great job on the construction. Look forward to ordering more parts from you.

Hopefully i can fit it over the end fittings otherwise it'll be a waste. But i plan to do this to my SS brake lines also since they're more subject to road debris.

It's too expensive in the -6 size, and since we have never had even one braided line fail on a customers car after it was installed, I really think it's more for your piece of mind then really needed. The clutch line is covered so it will not scratch the paint. If someone wanted to have it done to their hoses special order, I could do that at an additional cost and a few extra days for shipping.
