I've heard that the 1987 NA Hardtops are the lightest mk3's around. I thought it'd be cool to take one and buy a GM 427ci (LS7) crate engine. The buy a banks either twin or single turbo kit for it and put it in with either a T-56 or TH400 GM Tranny. I know its not you're typical route but I just think it'd be a badass lil sleeper, then get ya a plate that said "MK4KILR"

And it would cost more than a MK4 too haha. The LS7 crate motor alone runs about 13k. If you want a turbo V8 setup get a 99+ 6L truck engine, build it and turbo it. It will make 700rwhp in its sleep and the whole setup will cost much less. Although, either way would be a badass setup. Supra + Lope = mmmm.

ide run it with a th350 if you were going to do it. if you do everythign right, it would probably cost the same as a 2jz single swap.

LS1 or the truck motors with 2 MP t70s would be pretty nice :)

HAHA! I hate when people try to put other motors into our cars. If you dont like the motor that is available for the Supra, then go buy your Corvette. Don't you think a 1JZ or 2JZ is sleeper enough in a MKIII Supra? Last week I had a guy ask me if my MKIII Supra was a FWD Ferrari or something, like...people dont know our cars and thats what makes them old school jDm TyTE! My .02 cents.

Sounds better than an LS1, cheaper too. Why not

Man it's not really much different than Honda s2000's with 2jz's, or swapping 2jz's into mk3's since they were never offered. I'vew seen a TT vette, an 06 model and the damn thing had torque and at only 12psi made tons of top end too. I love my JZ engines but this was if I were to hit the loto and I had 8 different mk3's and mk4's ya know.

this thread turned shitty yo w/ the jDm tIgHt yO... I agree, keep it within the maker for every car, unless it really is lame like an old school vw bus or bug... i hate it when people put 2js in 240s and shit...ruins the whole thing...and makes a 2j look ugly haha.

you arent the only one that wants to do that. i think the 7m would look pretty nice in an SC300 as well...
