well i got the car running, but it smokes i didnt change the copper washers for the oil return likes because the local auto store didnt sell any. the smoke looks like its comming from the twins, and i feel a lose of power when i boost. i think its burning oil somewhere but i just dont know where. it could be bad twins, they were in pretty bad shape when i got them. sometimes i hear the death whine when im boosting at high speeds.

If you are hearing loud whirring sound at full boost, there may be a boost leak.
The twins came from a virgin soarer motor right out of a clip, so it is possible, but not likely they are bad straight off.
Pull the intake pipes and inspect the blades for damage. Anything that gets sucked in gets the blades chewed up pretty easily.
How were they in bad shape when you got them?

The smoke's coming from inside the engine bay? Did you remove the oil lines from the bottom of the turbos themselves? I ask because those seals are very hard to get back on right, and can leak like crazy if not tightened down properly.

the twins had shaft play, a good amount but the 2nd one was pretty bad. ill tighten all the nuts and bolts again, and see what happens. its probably just a boost leak, i might have missed like 1 or 2 bolts.

when i rev the engine, it doesnt smoke as much anymore. i think it was just burning some PB blaster and excess oil i dripped on the manifold and Y pipe.
