I had a few pics on here of the re-routed ddp that Randy built for me, so here they are! (again).

I haven't put the unit on yet... but I can't wait till I do!

The work and everything itself looks VERY nice, however I think it'd flow better if it were reintroduced where the DP becomes horizontal

I've had other people say the same thing, and I agree. However in terms of actual HP, it wouldn't be much. I'm not complaining. ;-)

Yeah, I didnt mean to make it sound like I was nickle-and-diming it, as I doubt the actual HP is much more than marginal

thats pretty nice... add another one for the piping going all the way down and mating in with the horizontal section...

IMO if you are going divorced and want to reroute why create more turbulence when putting it back in if you went through the effort of getting it divorced to begin with.

its not a MAJOR difference im sure...but every little bit helps and counts ;)

Running it back into the main pipe may seem ideal to do it where the pipe goes horizontal but in reality it wont make much if any difference in flow or hp output. It will be just for asthetics. If you look at any turbo kits, even the very high end expensive kits, the wastegate pipe always enters at a similar right angle or at a 45. If you look at the pic, it is entering at a 45 degree angle. And also it will just take more material to build and take longer to make, meaning the price will be higher for something that just looks like it will work better to some people.

Randy, have you ever considered building your ddps this way? I know I'd be interested. I live in CA and this would be nice because it would help with the smog regs here. I have an automatic, so once I'm in the boost I stay in the boost, and that means that the wastegate dump tube would always be screeching as I accelerate. I fear that I would just get into trouble with the smog nazi police and their continual scaning for cars breaking the rules. I have been drooling over the ddps ever since you started making them, but worying about being a big blip on the police radar has kept me away. Thanks.

Yes I offer rerouting of the wastegate pipe for an extra charge of $50.

Ahhh....oops. I just reread the first post. Somehow the fact that YOU did the rerouting, not Heckler, got lost in the translation. Still...SWEET!

I have a 3' Dp and I was thinking of buying a bigger turbo elbow or DDP
how much whp over the regular 3' DP and bigger elbow?
If I go with the DDP I have to put a MHG, bolts, studs, lexus afm and injectors first cuz I'll be hitting fuel cut.

The product page on becauseican's website has your answer. How do you use both bolts and studs though?

6 bolts and 8 studs maybe, or 7 + 7...I don't know about that

I have the pipe on now and it's working great! I don't have any psi difference numbers though... because I put the downpipe on first (old one had a big crack) and did the rest of the exhaust about two weeks later.
