I'm looking to get a wideband to help tune using my s-afc 2. Since the cost difference is negligible between the LC-1 + guage and the LC-1 + SSI-4 I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this unit and can provide feedback.

it really depends on what you want to do.

relaize the SSI-4 is merely an input, you'll need to use the DL-32 or your laptop to actually log.

the lc1 by itself is pretty useless. it will only log afr with respect to time. to make tuning easier, you need the ssi-4 to be able to at least log rpms too. it is very useful, seeing that you can log up to 4 inputs, and it only costs about $125. i will be adding one on to my lc-1 in about a month, when funding permits.

eh, the LC-1 is plenty useful if you run the output to some other device (MAFT pro, standalone, etc.).

LMK when you're ready for the SSI-4.....
