Question about dead ECU

So my car won't start and I noticed that when I turn the key to ACC all the dash lights come on except the CEL. If I remember correctly that means my ecu isn't working... right? :( If so I'm in the market for an 89+ ECU

That is unlikely. A bad bulb or you lost power to the ECU. Does the car run?

The CEL isn't supposed to come on in ACC.

cel comes on with ignition possition 2 when everything powers up. id say check the buulb out first then see if theres any codes stored
