a water bypass for the number six piston for better cooling of the head. maybe for 7m's and 1jz's.

my 1jz runs ice cold, barely even opens the thermostat since i went single and a stock supra mkiv rad.
A stock twin 1JZGTE? those run hotter then hell.

Mine runs nice and cold.

i kinda really mean for us guys that are still 7m. anything to help keep even temps throughout the head will def. help.

ice cold isn't good either;) operating temp is ideal, thus, the reason it's called operating temperature. ;)
i've never seen an owners manual that says: let the car warm up to ice cold. or, normal operating temperature is someplace between "hours cold" and "ice cold".
sorry, i couldn't resist!

Ok, don't laugh at me but where would the bypass be bypassing from? From the coolant fitting for the heater, back to the radiator upper hose? I'm not sure I understand the goal of a mod like that.

i found this on ab-flug's website a couple years ago-originally meant for the 7m. from what i know, it connects to the upper radiator pipe and gets bypassed to the coolant neck on the back of the head like you stated. it puts coolant directly to the back of the head before the car warms up. number 6 has some common problems and may help reduce hg problems in the back.
i just figured that if you could some how modify a upper rad hard pipe kit to run some ss hardline to the back with the correct fitting to make it work.
anything to make the 7m run a little cooler/efficient is better.

You could always build the 7M with a good MHG and all the other goodies and redo the entire coolant system flow anyways. But I like the creativity, just not sure how good it would be, seems good but someone would have to pioneer it.

That Night Pager kit runs coolent from the bottom of the radiator hose to the upper radiator hose.

I think the goal of these is to take say 1/10 of the fresh cool water and send it to the back so it may cool that area, rather than depend on the water that has already been re-heated by the front 2/3 of the engine
A japmag i have reported a drop of about 8 degrees
