View Full Version : anyone with pre 89 crossmember have this problem

i was fitting the engine in and i noticed the crank pulley hitting the lower sway bar. i'm thinking if i get the ATI pulley it would be ok. the unorthodox pulley would work,but i've heard not to use those

yikes... looks like it could be a problem with the motor mounts.

yeah those mounts dont look right like its sitting too high in the back.

Looks like you didn't cut the mounts right. You either cut them to much or didn't cut them enough in the back. I really don't know because I cut mine but have a 1JZ and it is fine.

i got the mounts from BIC....but...someone else may have found the proble for me...he said that not having the tranny in there will make it lean forward. so once i get the tranny hooked up it should be fine. raising the front

^^^^ Sounds like you found your problem! It should be fine once you get the tranny bolted up.
