That smoke is oil. That oil is going out your exhaust instead of staying in the motor doing it's job.

What do you think?

well i have a road trip this weekend so i guess i'll just continue to pour oil in the engine then

i have no other car and im not a baller so i can't rent a car for the weekend

so i have no choice i guess

or you could bail on your road trip...

I had the exact thing happen, my seals were bad from day 1 with my clip. I watched oil consumption and oddly enough I only had to add about half a quart every 3000 miles which was all i drove my car even though i had alot fo smoke at idle. Just be mindful and save your money. 935 has reasonable turbo kits. Good luck man.

I drive daily on blown turbos. Mine doesn't billow smoke tho.

Just keep an eye on the oil level. Mine really hasn't moved at all.

If you are sure the turbo is blown, do the following:

Wire the wastegate wide open.

Disconnect the oil feed line and cap the port at the block.

No smoke, no boost, no problem.

That's interesting...now you will be 1JZ-GE...with no turbo. Hey if the engine still runs without it and no problem, why not ! this way you can still drive the car till money becomes available for your next turbo.

The car will perform like a Volvo 740, but it will run fine.

the seal is leaking, the turbo isn't dead.. just ride it out.. its not too bad, just check the oil...

we'll try one of mine, maybe one of those is good, lol..

I have a question.. reading Jdubs post in the oil section.. maybe get some of that oil that has extra ester in it to swell the seal and maybe help it seal up a little more?

Ester makes seals swell and counteracts the effect of the PAO.

so you have wire open both wg's cause there are two actuators

tissimo:: they have that stuff??? where to get? is it JUST motor oil or can i get something that only swells the seal???

I drove on blown twins for like a month. It was fine. If I kept it below 3k, there wasn't enough oil pressure to make a lot of smoke. If I floored it, and took her to 6, HUGE cloud :)

Now my second set of twins started doing this 2 days ago, and my single isn't here yet. Looks like I have a few more weeks of blown turbo driving :)

ester wouldnt swell the seals, because they are not rubber seals. the seals blow due to excessive wear (insufficient lubricationm, or running really high boost on a turbo that cant handle it)

20/50 oil with a Cat should buy you some time. I gave my last set of twins to JoeZ.

hahahaha yea

i drove it about 4-500 miles EASILY this weekend and it smoked at everylight.

i checked the oil level sat. night - Still full

checked it last night when we finally got home - still full

beats me but it sure does POUR out.. one of the toll booth guys ducked back into the booth when i pulled in from the smoke on Decel LOL that should give you an idea on how bad it is HAHAHAHAHA

but i raced a Modded C5 vette and hung right with it till Boost cut in 3rd...

beat a mach 1, and an SRT4

then i tried messing with a porche turbo and Ferrari 550 and they didn't want none LOL they were just cruising at 110mph on the highway

pussies LOL
