how much coolant do i need for the 1J system?

and yes i did search

IIRC most cars use about 2 to 3 gallons. Get 4 and return unused coolant.

i use 2 jugs of prestone

i usually put 1 gallon of prestone and fill the rest with water

it definitely aint no 3 gallons total

the mkiv manual (block is slightly larger so will take more) says 10 quarts.. so ~ 2 gallons in a 1jz i'd assume.. 1 jug of coolant and 1 of water does the trick :)

yah that basicly that it was we pu on jug of prestone and 3/4 water
