Hey there,

Even though i'm not a regular poster in the forum, I feel I should share my opinion about BIC's 3,5" Exhaust which I purchased last December.
First of all, I'd like to thank Randy for his wonderful patience with me, answering my questions, sending detailed pictures of the product, and also by respecting the deadlines we set. :icon_bigg
After two months of waiting for both shipping and customs clearance (shipping from Canada to Portugal), I finally laid my hands on the eagerly awaited products. These were:
- a rerouted DDP with flex section;
- a high-flow 3,5" cat;
- a complete 3,5" cat-back.
Packaging was great, and the items arrived in excellent condition. A set of gaskets and clamps was included in the pack.
By this time, I could barely wait to put those things in my car (which was waiting for a new exhaust system since 2004) :love:.
Installation was very easy and straightfoward, so I guess a few pictures will give a better idea of what it looks like (and also why I now find myself drooling about the car all the time :evil2: ).

Yes, pictures are crappy (what can you expect from a 2 MP ultracheap camera :icon_evil ), but the quality of the product is quite obvious.
The sound it makes is deep and somewhat loud, so I'll have to make some kind of silencer to fit into the tail-pipe (btw, if anyone has good ideas about removable silencers, do post them here, please).

That's it for now, folks. Hope this small post works as a positive reference about the quality of Randy's products.

Randy: keep up the good work! ;)

I am glad you got it finally, I was wondering if it got there ok. Post some sound clips of you can, while driving or passing the camera. The tip is 4" OD, if you cant find a silencer tip, I could probably make one up for you.

You say this because ................there is a problem with that type ramp, or because of the position of the car on them?

With the car in that position, the ramps could slide out at any time...:aigo:

Looks fantastic, I'd love to hear some sound clips of a Supra that speaks Portuguese!

Thanks for the comments folks. :)

WeDge, the ramps can't just slide out from under the car. Consider the following:
- each of those ramps wheighs over 40kg - they were designed to raise trucks into wheighing stations;
- they're sitting on asphalt;
- the car climbed over the ramps, and they didn't slide a bit when this happened;
- that street is inclined to the back of the car, so the car itself was relatively levelled on top of the ramps;
You have to consider the friction exerted by the ramps on the asphalt, and also the wheight of the car on top of them. Rubber tires also add friction between car and ramp. The transmission was left in P, and the front wheel was blocked with that black-thing used to keep the car from moving. I tried kicking them, and shaking the car, and they didn't bulge. That's why I considered safe to go under it.
Trust me: I'd be the first one to refuse going under a poorly lifted 1600Kg car :)

I'll post some sound clips as soon as I get my good camera back. That will allow me to record higher quality video and audio. I don't think it'll "speak" portuguese though ;). BTW, this car came from Germany to Portugal in 1998. The licence plate ends in "JZ"... go figure :D

A regular DDP will flow as much as a 3.5"-4" dp under boost, because of the extra flow area of the wastegate pipe. But yes I hear you request.............
