Thanks to Ben in Australia Whiteline have finally finished the development of MK3 Front adjustable swaybar and production has already started. Here are pictures of what they look like on Ben's car:

Whiteline already has a rear adjustable sway bar in their inventory; unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of that bar at this time.

The front bar comes with: bar; instructions; hardware; bar to chassis bushings; endlinks; endlink bushings and bushing grease.

The rear bar comes with: bar; instructions; hardware; bar to chassis bushings and bushing grease. You reuse your factory endlink/bushings.

I have also made arrangements with Randy to allow me to sell his famous endlinks if anyone is interested (link below).

Production has already started as I have paid for 15 front bars already to speed up the process. I am estimating that it will take approximately 2 months to get the bars in the country and delivered.

Wow...that's great news Randy. Shipping of just one set of bushing to Canada is $7.50usd. I ship all the Canadian orders to my Buffalo shipping address; drive down to pick them up and clear them through customs myself to avoid the brokerage fees.

Unfortunately for Canadian orders I must 6% gst and pst if you live in ontario; plus 4% duty's for all Whiteline parts as they are made in Australia.

It gets complicated that's why I ask Canadians to pm me for a shipping quote. I could easily just quote you $20 shipping and have the item shipped from the US but if I can save people money why not take advantage of it. I do my best to help Canadian avoid large brokerage fee's unfortunately duty's and gst/pst are beyond my control.

Still waiting on word from Whiteline in AUS for a detailed answer as to when to expect these.

I'm going to have to change the deadline for the group buy. The US Distributor is raisng pricing due to the AUS/US exchange rate on May 1st....which means that my pricing is going up.

This group buy will have to end April 27th; 2007...after the price will go substantially as group buy pricing will go up 11% and the likelyhood of hosting another group buy for these will be small. You be able to get these from any Whiteline Vendor (including myself) after the group buy for 11% to 25% more than what is here.

The only way of me helping those who don't have the funds now is to offer a deposit system like I did for the mk2 peeps. If you pay me a $75 deposit/bar I can secure that pricing till the bars get in.

I will update the first post with the details...thanks for all those who have purchased the bars already.

This is not much of a group buy... check the prices out on 935motorsports.com very competitive, in fact they are cheaper on the front bar and Dollar more on the rear.

You might want to read the product descriptions in more detail...the rear bar that you say is cheaper by a dollar at 935 is the non adjustable one. The adjustable which karaki has here is actually $24 cheaper ($185 there, $159 here). Again, the front adjustable in this buy isn't even listed on 935's site...only the non adjustable.

One small point to check depending on the front diameter and which poly bushes they use in the saddles the Bar can contact the lip on the chassis and wear into the bar :( (I found this when I dropped my front subframe at Christmas so I could paint the engine bay)

Hey there,

This is Ben from Australia, Ive been told that some feedback on the Front sway bar would be appreciated. So here goes:

I had the front bar fitted by whiteline straight after they developed it. It made the front of the car heaps more stable and it turned in alot better, but as i didnt have the rear bar on the car tended to stay flat at the front and roll at the rear which made the handling interesting.

Once i had the rear bar fitted and some new tyres on the front (fronts were virtually bald), the difference was alot more noticable. Ive taken the car out on a couple of runs through some twisty stuff and since having both bars on the car it handles like a dream. The car turns in and grips heaps harder and is basically a heap more fun to drive now.

I havent had any problems with the bar contacting anything, I havent had a proper look but i will tonight. Looking into the engine bay it looks as though it clears from there but ill get under tonight and have a look...

Ben: Just have a look at the bar where the saddles are and see how close it is to the Chassis rail please.
(mine might just be a freak as they're prototype bars)

I noticed when I bought my bars from George in another group buy that whiteline included a set of plates that go between the saddles and the frame rails about 5mm thick...they might have done this to gain the clearance IJ is missing. That said, George mentioned some in the same shipment had these, some didn't. Perhaps they changed it slightly too...?

Hey guys...sorry for the late reply. Not trying to ignore you just been crazy the last couple of days. Honestly we are still trying to get an accurate timeline on this. The problem is that I pre-ordered the fronts but made a guess on how many rears I would unload. Obviously they both need to be shipped at the same time.

As I stated a few posts earlier: it's obvious I've blown right by my original 'best guess' and for that I do apologize. All I can say for now is that you'll all be the first to know when I have news. Getting these done and estimating how many pairs would sell was a logistics nightmare; believe me when I say I'm trying to make this as pain free as possible.

I know that doesn't answer your question but dont' let that stop you any of you from asking anything about this buy...thanks again.

As I said before our biggest 'problem' is going to be ensuring the right number of front and rear bars get here at the same time. We are doing the best we can to try to eliminate delays but unfortunately the first time a product is offered delays will always happen. Here is the latest but unfortunately not so greatest:

Shipping is going to be delayed; this is because Whiteline is moving their manufacturing and warehouse to a new location. Unfortunately these orders got caught in that time frame and they are now trying to get caught up.

There are 15 BTF39Z's in the country waiting to clear customs and another 10 on their way with an eta of early August.

There are 2 BTR70Z's in the US Warehouse; 23 are on their way with an eta of early August.

The last time it was checked the Superpro bushings were in the shipment that is in customs hands; but we wont' know for sure until in gets to the warehouse.

Here is the news that you have all been waiting for: the swaybars are IN and ready to ship. This caught me totally off guard as I wasn't expecting them so soon.

So here is what is going to happen: those of you who actually paid the full amount will have their orders start shipping as early as tomorrow. For the rest of you I will start sending out payment requests via paypal; as soon as I have the funds the orders will be shipped. Please be patient with me on this; I've been up since 5pm yesterday and I'm hitting the wall so you might not get it tonight.

There is only One order that will ship incomplete and that is JDub's...unfortunately your 2 upper bushings didn't make it but I will ship your bars to you and cover the shipping for the bushings myself when they get in.


MAJOR UPDATE For those peeps who did not get in on this group buy in time and are upset at the 11% May 1st Increase I might have a solution for you. I have a few extra sets that I was planning on bringing back to Toronto with me to keep as stock. If anyone is interested I can let them go for $370/pair shipped (USA only)...this is only $16 more than what peeps were paying in the group buy. It would not be fair for me to give these away at group buy pricing now as so many have parted with their funds a long time ago to get this going. There are NO dibs here; its first pay first get and if nobody takes them in the next few days they are coming to Canada with me. Please remember that this will be the last time ANY vendor can offer you these kind of prices...considering my prices were well below other vendor pricing and North America pricing just went up 11% I can pretty much guarantee you that.

I will try my best; please just try to keep in mind that I have about 25 pairs of these going out right now and another 20 pairs of MK2 adjustable swaybars too...not to mention that I have to go to Buffalo tomorrow to pick up a few huge orders and then help Host a Toyota Sports and Luxury car meet on Saturday. I promise to do my absolute best to keep you guys informed on the status of your orders...just don't yell at me if I miss you :).

I understand your concern but please keep the following in mind:

1) These 7 sets came across without me originally knowing about it; rather than letting another vendor grab them they offered them to me first at the original rate (prior to the 11% increase)
2) In order for me to keep these without offering them up now they have to be brought back to Canada. I don’t' have a vehicle big enough to bring 14 swaybars with me + the 6 sets already ordered by Canadian's...which means I would have to rent a mini-van to go to buffalo (my US shipping Address)to get them.
3) I have 1 weeks to get rid of these 7 sets before I need to ship them as wells the other Canadian orders to my Buffalo Shipping address. The warehouse will NOT let me keep these in there for more than a week.

After 1 week the bars are coming with me to Canada and whoever wants them will have to pay the 11% (as Cryoslash stated)+ potential additional funds (buying outside a group buy) plus wait months to get them unless they want me to ship them from Canada (about $45-$50/pair vs. $32)

I'm simply offering them at this price so I can avoid the expense and hassle of renting a mini-van and being out a couple hundred dollars just for 7 sets of swaybars. I really wasn't meaning to upset anyone here; if that has happened I truly do apologize. All I wanted to do was get rid of some extra's and perhaps save some peeps a few bux...the last thing I want is for people to have negative feelings toward a group buy I hosted.

I can assure you that after 1 week if anyone wants these they will pay a minimum of $358 for the parts alone even if they are my best friend.

it didn't come with the endlinks or the bushings for the endlinks, it only came with the chassis bushings to bolt it to the car

Unfortunately, I'm in the exact same predicament that you are in. I ordered both the front and rear, they came in yesterday. I've got a bag on each zip tied on with the chasis bushings and mounts, but no endlinks and endlink bushings for the fronts nowheres, I've looked though all the boxes to double check that I didn't overlook them, but they aren't there :(.

I just got an email from Global saying they checked the remainder of the Boxes and 50% had missing front endlinks. They have placed an 'emergency order' of replacement units from Whiteline. Honestly though; I've been on the customer end for over 10 years and personally got sick and tired of all the poor customer service simply because i didn't spend $5,000 with someone...so I said: if you can't beat them join them...then put them out of business :). The day my customer service goes down hill is the day I close shop. I really hope that one day (after the site is finally up) I can secure a spot as a vendor here. Supra's are my life...I live eat; breath and &#$* them...it's sick but I wouldn't change it for anything. Cheers guys...sorry to blab!!

Poodles I'm at a loss here as I yet to receive my set or even install a set. You guys have the instruction sheet with the parts list; do they list these spacers? Can someone be so kind as to scan the instruction sheet/parts list?

they're used to space the endlink out so it's perpendicular to the bar when you adjust it (you move the spacers around as it's shown in the pictures)

as I don't have the spacers, the softest setting is all that's able to really be done, but first riding impressions are EXCELLENT. Understeer is definately under control, and in a good skid it's very controllable and not as twitchy as before. Probably the easiest install I've had to do and definately changed the car a lot. Can't wait to try the firmest setting...

I just enjoyed my first drive with them installed.
I used to have to anticipate the backend continuing to corner as I straighten out from a spirited turn, but now with the sways installed on soft, the back end stays put and I have better input of the road. Not to mention, I cut my body roll by like 40 percent.

The front sway bar uses the stock brackets with whiteline's bushings, and whiteline's endlink kit

The rear uses new brackets sized for the bigger bushings and bar, but keeps the stock endlinks.

ok. what i am saying is that i have 3 sets of bushings. one for the rear and TWO different sets for the front. one set for the front came with new brackets and the other did not. the new brackets are too small for the second front bushing set.
