Jake;

I sent global an email as this is really concerning me as you were the first one to realize the bushing were missing. I promise to have an answer for you one way or another by tomorrow afternoon.

Guys;

I've updated the first post with a missing parts listing; if you name is on the list and shouldn't be please let me know. Also if your name is NOT on the list and should be please let me know. I really should have had this up sooner; if you're not on the list please pm me and include your real name too...you would have no idea the nightmare it is matching real name to forum names.

The spacers are show on the last picture of post #1 correct? If so, I will check the package with the endlinks in it tonight when I get off of work to see if they are in there, but I know for a fact that they aren't in the packages with the poly mounts.

your package WAS sent out on the 5th but for some unexplained reason USPS sent global a refund for the shipment. They have re-shipped the package again and I'm going to pm you the tracking number in 2 mins.

I checked the items in the endlinks package last night. I have a total of 4 washers and zero spacers... Is there suppost to be 8 washers? I don't know the amount of spacers we are suppost to have, is it 2 or 4?

There's supposed to be 10 washers total. Look at the instructions that Poodles scanned. It tells you what you should've gotten.

As we are the Master Distributor for Whiteline in North America, I just wanted to offer everyone some extra assurance that we are aware of the shortages/discrepancies and are working diligently to get the correct parts here as soon as possible. Zach;

thanks for coming here and posting up; I also appreciate all your hard and speedy work on this.

Guys whether you email/call Zach or not I still want to be in the loop if you have any issue. Ultimately you are my customer and I want and need to be aware of any and all issues you are having. My email address is: george@raptorracing.com so if you're emailing Zach please cc me.

If it's ok with you guys I'd prefer to keep it they way it is; you post here/email/pm me and I contact Zach. Reason is it will eliminate any confusion and duplication of work which means you'll get your parts faster. Is anybody missing from the list on the first post?

Starscream 5000 I have made Zach aware of your shortages and will update the first post with this...thanks.

Guys;

if I may; when you are reporting that you are missing parts please give me your real name too. Please do NOT pm ZACH; he doesn't frequent this forum...he only came on here to re-assure you guys that we are working on it. It really just complicates things when he has to access sm just to check who is missing what...lets keep this simple.

As I said the best way to handle this is to update me and I'll take care of the rest; but if you feel compelled to contact Zach then please do it via email or phone.

For the front, you do reuse the stock bushing bracket support. The bushing's center hole is what accomodates the bigger bar. For the rear, they include it, as you can see in the picture of the rear package.

Folks,

let me also point out that the parts listing provided by Whiteline does NOT have a listing for the bar to chassis bushing bracket; which means you re-use your factory unit. Whenever possible factory parts are re-use (ie: rear endlinks); this is done to keep costs on the product competitive. I will confirm with the Whiteline engineer's but if it's not on the list it means it's not required.

Next item: I have just shipped out all the bars for the Canadian Folks. I just got back from Buffalo this afternoon with the bars and they're already at the post office. I will be emailing you tracking numbers in the next few minutes; thanks again for your patience.

Finally...I will be on vacation starting tomorrow morning and returning August 12th or 13th. While on vacation I will be checking my emails and pm's regularly so please keep sending me any info I need to know. The only reason I'm telling you guys is that I don't want you to worry if it takes longer than I usually take to reply.

Peace!!

Those were used for the non adjustable bars to allow for clearance issues; I guess somehow they all got mixed up in the adjustable units.

Hey folks;

just thought I'd mention; while on vacation in Michigan I was 1.5hrs from the Global Warehouse so I thought I'd pay them a visit. Wow; what a great group of people; I can honestly say the BEST supplier that I have ever dealt with...they made me feel right at home. I got a tour of the facilities/warehouse...it's a top notch operation; they are very well organized and everyone was in the office was sooo cheery. If I was a US Citizen and out of a job I'd beg them for one...just the sort of place I'd want to work for.

Anyway...I'm blabbing...just wanted to re-assure you all that we/they are on top of this and we are working hard to get you all your parts. While there we chatted about the issue we're having with the bars and Zach mentioned that we're still a few days away from received the replacement parts for everyone. Just wanted to chime in and give you guys the update.

Cheers.

Hey George, my bars are finally installed... Sweet, but being a fool, I forgot to take pictures... actually, the job got me sidetracked. I have a few questions with my kit.

The worst thing was actually taking off the old bars, I must have spent 2 hours on my driver's front endlink trying to seperate it from the lower control arm. My vice grips just kept slipping off that inside ring while trying to hold the link's "ball joint". I notices later that there is an allen key hole in the stud, but with the amount of force, I would probably would have stripped it. Even heat, did not make the job easier.

I could't believe the difference in the weight of the front bars... all fit numero uno!
The question I have is concerning the front end links provided in my kit. In the kit I had an extra set of bushing and sleeves. The links already had bushings pressed in. The instructions mentioned to place the larger bushings (wider) on the control arm. The links has bushing of the same size at each end. The spare bushings are one set small / one set large, but there was no way I was going to be able to push out the bushings from the links.
Does the links with same size bushings at each end cause any issues? I noticed that during the install, with the hub hanging, the link holes did not exactly line up, there was a little twist off center, but with a little jiggling, I managed to get the bolts through.
Also, what torque setting do these bolts / nuts need? I tried to use the 47lbs stock settings but it seemed tho turn forever on the bolt attached to the sway bar. The control arm did torque up to the spec.
Thanks, again, George, for the excellent GB. You da man.

how about getting whiteline to make us some coilovers (seen em for other cars, and heard they're discontinued...)

or other suspension part goodness...

Raptor Racing
08-17-2007, 12:06 AM
Poodles;

I'm not against getting Whiteline or any company to make any new product. The only problem with coilvers is that they have been done many times over and in my opinion there are bigger fish to fry with the MK3.

I thought about getting Superpro to make a complete bushing set for the MK3 but seeing those are also available I haven't really pushed it too hard.

I have many strong ties with a lot of suspension companies in Australia: Whiteline; Superpro; Dobinson and K'Mac...all are top notch companies that have already said they'll build whatever I want them to. I have ideas of my own that I'm working on but time is always the limiting factor in my business...i'm a one man operation and 'projects' always get put on the backburner. I don't know why but it always seems that overseas companies are more than happy to build anything for our cars and local (Canadian & American) companies give you the runaround...at least that's what my experience shows.

If you guys have any ideas of what the 'market' needs I'm always open to suggestion.

Now...lets forget that stuff and get back on topic; I only received one email from you guys in the last 5 days for missing parts and that person has been taken care of. Is there anyone else that has missing parts; please let me know. Please note though that tomorrow the Toronto Supra Club's 12 Annual Meet is going on; all my efforts during the weekend will be on the meet so I can not reply until Monay but please send anyway.

Hi Karaki,

Sorry for the late update, but I just finished up moving to a new house. I received the spacers and large washers, that's everything IIRC... Those big yellow bushings that hold the sway bar up to the chasis, they come with a metal piece to hold them up there right? Or do we use the old stockers? I'll need to look in my boxes to confirm. I have two extras I think that came with the front endlinks, they just didn't have a metal sleeve that curves around them, so I'm guessing that part may be in the boxes of the sway bars, or I will use the factory ones... I'll check tonight and follow up monday.

Poodles
08-17-2007, 04:29 PM
fronts use the stock bushing holder

karaki: I understand that there are many different coilovers, but whiteline builds entire systems for other cars, and suspension theory says it should be treated as such. They alos use unique valving (oddly enough they're the same dampening regardless of speed unlike others from what's been reported).

From what I've read people are very happy with them and they looked like a solid product, I'm more wondering about pricing...

I got this particular corner where I'm at, that is down hill and banked like 3* the Other way, as sharp as any regular street corner, except this one is a yield merger.

With a van, 25mph would send you on two wheels.

In the Supra, 40mph isn't pushing the envelope hardly, staying pretty damn flat round the corner.
These sways are set at medium up front, and soft in back, riding on H&R springs and 235 width tires up front.

Bottom line is, these bars are awesome!!
