I am looking to clean up the engine bay a bit and its just got all this stuff looking like a big mess. What are some things I can do to get rid of some cluter such as the charcoal canister, vacum lines, anything worth getting rid of?

here's a good page on vacuum hose reduction http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4193&highlight=vacuum+reduction

A lot of stuff such as the charcoal canister, egr system, etc can be removed if you are not concerned about emissions.

Why not get rid of the intake manifold? That takes up a lot of space. So does the CPS and wiring. Throw them in the garbage too.

Heck...what about that nasty looking coil pack on top of the motor!

^That was my guess. :-)

Got ABS? Ditch it.

Got Cruise Control? Ditch it.

Got BHG? .....

you can move the fuel pump resistor and relay next to the passnger fuse block instead of under the hood get rid of AC lines condesnor
go from hydro fan to electric fan
get rid of cruise
get rid of abs
co2 canistor evap crap
reduce vacume line system
relocate battery to spare tire hole in back of car
get rid of the windshield cleaner system put a simple little bottle next to the brake booster instead

get rid of hood latch and bracket use hood pins instead
look around in there if it dont seem right and usefull or stands out try to move it.

That's why I'm gonna get Ron's manifold. As for the coil packs how can I move them somewhere else?

You can. You have to make custom wires. I've seen them moved to alot of diffrent places. My fav. is in this pic.

That is just beautiul, so I can mount the coil packs on the fire wall and get some custom wires?

I dont know if they fit exactly like the one in the pic. They are longer so you can relocate the coil packs somewhere. I know the ones in the pic were custom made. You can get wires and boots and make them.

That pic is my engine bay.
The coil pack was pretty easy to move just made up some brackets. As far as wires go, I bought the car with a set of MSD wires on it already and then bought another Set and mixed matched the correct lengths.

I think your cps wiring is loose.

Check that and you should be good to go.

Drew, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but it looks like your hydrosolator is trying to convert the flux capasitors pulsating electricity into a Vtech.............:nono:

High Psi............I wouldn't start taking too many things out of your car just for looks sake. I'm sure you know that it was put there for a reason. Good luck.

Jay, are you serious? An in attempt to get rid of the problem, I was going to just remove the hydrosolator. I thought the curcuit would dead end, but I soon found out that it would short out and the pulsations would cause a fire. :aigo:

So instead, I took everything out.

:biglaugh:

Not this time. The oil pressure was just too low for my liking.

What is sad is I don't think some people get the obvious sarcasm.

Throw the manifold in the trash, and he says good idea...
