another track trip...

Well, went to a different track, that was prepped a lot better.


I let the rear tires(still nitto DR's) down to 12 psi, and got the car to hook decent. I ended up with a 1.95 60ft(a lot better than 2.6) with a 5500 rpm launch and no wheelspin. This resulted in an 11.91 pass.


I was a little bit down on power, because the gasket between the turbo and header had started to leak a little. The next pass it was leaking a lot because the bolts had vibrated loose. So, I think I can still get a little faster.


Anyway, I'm happy as long as I'm improving.

Nothing wrong with the other trans. Just swapped a shift fork in from another blown up trans. It only had 40k miles on it. however, the one in my car now won't last long, since it has 210k miles hahahaha....

Good job! My trans has taken many track trips and it has not broken. 1.5-1.6 60fts too :) Yoy get that 60ft down and you will be in the mid 11's

No wheelspin on a 5500rpm launch should be way faster than 1.95, I would guess you are letting the clutch out too slow so that you don't spin at that high RPM, try letting the clutch out faster at a lower RPM.

Edit: I see you are on 17" DR you could help yourself alot by getting something with more sidewall.

I was actually bogging the launch. The car was hooking so good that when I came off the clutch, it was falling on its face. The T66 doesn't spool up real quick, so I didn't have boost till about the 60 foot.
