help with wiring deck

i just need to see what wires are what. its a 1988 supra (my brothers car) and i need to figure out which colored wired lead to which. We found the ground and power, but the actual speakers are still not working. any help is appreciated.

is the harness hacked?
i got a harness adapter at canadian tire for like $7 and it just plugged in.
i cant remember of the top of my head what wires are what.

that wiring diagram is wrong, because it shows my cars wires (87) i think, but not his. Anyway i am under the theory i got the right wires, just the head unit doesn't work.

Be glad. The first time I wired a Toyota, I did it all by trial an error :)

Edit: One wire not mentioned on here is a white with an orange stripe (IIRC). It's the illumination wire.
