looking at getting some new door speakers

Hey guys. I'm looking to replace my door speakers. Got an 89 supra. I know I can make new mounts to fit 6.5" but how deep can I go without mangling the door? I hear for the most part its not a problem but I just want to be sure. Thanks!

Not sure of the exact depth, but "lots" is about right. You have quite a few inches back there. ESPECIALLY if you're using 3/4" MDF to mount the speakers.
