Okay, so you've confirmed everywhere that you are indeed making a SP61 specific divorced downpipe, however I already have an external wastegate, so would you also be making regular downpipes like you did before?

Yes I will have a SP61gt specific downpipe released soon. If you already have an external wastegate with the bolt on CT style exhaust housing you can use the regular BIC 3" downpipe with the built in elbow. It will bolt onto the back of the Toyota CT26 housing or the Turbonetics made CT style housing. The outlet bolt pattern is the same.

does your standard bic dp bolt on to the sp61?

and for those with the CURRENT BIC DDP and want to go SP61gt...all you need to change is the divorced plate, correct?

if that is the case...would you be able to send me a some measurements so i may grind off the old and put in the new plate instead of having to sell my current one and dropping another 400 and 6 week wait for a Sp61 specific one?

I have a Turbonetics Mark II delta wastegate, but I have a Rajay turbo, not a stock CT-26, so how would I know in those regards? I'm kinda confused...so you are saying that my wastegate would use the same bolts and pattern as the stock CT-26 stuff and could thus use a regular BIC DP for my special application?

I asked this question about the SP61GT specific DDP because I may sell my Rajay in favor of the SP61GT, dont know yet, but I will be keeping the external wastegate I think and thus wouldnt need the "divorced" properties of the BIC DDP.

the sp61gt is an INTERNAL WG application...if you get a sp61gt you WILL NOT be using an external WG...unless you were to weld it shut and tube off which would require a good amount of custom work...

randys ddp is for internal WG use only as thats what its built for...an external WG always has the "divorced" properties since they are completely seperate...

a simple 3inch dp with either a mating flange or v-band clamp would be all you need for another turbo with an external wg setup.

Yes the standard BIC downpipe will bolt to the sp61gt turbo.

The divider plate has a diferent shape and the size is diferent. Its not quite that easy to just chop off the plate and weld on another. I hand fit each flange/ divider before I weld the pipes on, while bolted to a turbo. I make sure the fit is as tight as it can be to avoid possibilities of leaks. With the pipes welded on it is impossible to fit it perfectly inside the turbo. I dont think you would have a problem selling your slightly used DDP.

The downpipes I build are for the stock exhaust housing or the Turbonetics bolt on replacement CT 26 style turbo housing's like the ones used for the SP61gt bolt on turbo. T3, T4 and Rayjay turbo's are just genaric turbos that will not bolt on to the stock exhaust manifold and downpipe. They have a rectangular bolt pattern and a rectangular inlet hole, and the CT style housing has a square bolt pattern and a round inlet hole.

Ah, well that answers my question then http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/tamparacing/smiles/laugh.gif

I just thought with how all big and bad and cool the SP61GT is that it'd need an external wastegate...well whatever, I can sell this perfectly good one then...and probably my EBC and go MBC style again..
