Is the 1jz thermo. located in the same spot as the 2jz? i have a trd thermostat ready for install, any help would be much appreciated. - Thomas

Follow the lower radiator hose and you'll find it. :)

If anyone else needs to know. Yeah, i was hoping it wasnt there, i just pulled the alternator 2 weeks ago, it would have been nice to do it then, but i didnt know.

For some reason, the people at schucks didnt have a gasket for this model. Is the gasket reusable, even though it says to replace it when changing? We are suppose to use the thermostat from the 2jz, right? Are there 2 different thermostats available for the ge and gte?

It is an easy install but not as easy as the 7M :biglaugh: I did a stat on my bros 1J a few months back.
