cam gear setting [Archive]

ok i just got some findanza adj. cam gears and want to know what are the setting u guys are using?

in supraforums, one guy found he yielded the most power with the exhaust retarded 3* and the intake at 0*. his mods were, 3" downpipe back, greddy fmic, hks cam gears, safc, jdm map sensor, us 550cc injectors. i believe many of the 2jz guys do 2* retard on the exhaust and 1* advance on the intake.

i believe jza70 (red single 1jz) has his set to zero. he was not able to gain any hp either advancing or retarding either cam gear with stock cams. apparently, cam gears are useless unless you have upgraded cams...

I'm using HKS cam gears and I have it set- exhaust,1.5 (+3) and intake at
- 0.5 (-1) . This is the most common set up for 1jz cam gears and it made abit of difference to my H.P (dyno).

They were 440cc injectors
