yes it did. After the looking at them, we realized the pieces are harder to make than we thought. Each piece is from a two part mold that has to be joined to make one piece. Similar to a way a spoiler is made.

The moldings for the 89+ have a step. The flares have that step integrated into them. If you want these for pre-89, adjustments will have to be made to the flares.

Probably a bit late to ask. But will these flares stick over the fender without requiring cutting? The thread above mentions that cutting the fender is required for "functionality". I do not wish the cut my fenders. Does that mean that if I don't cut my fenders the bottom peice will show through the fender flares?

It's not about the monetary deposit, it's about the number of those interested and commitment. Regarding the fender question, I do not understand what you mean by the bottom lip of the stock fender and how it relates to the fender flares.

My question was if you put the flare on the stock fender, will the stock fender (Top of the wheel well, bottom of the fender by the wheel arch) show through the flare. Hence will the edge of the stock fender lip show through the Godfather Over Fender Flares without cutting of the stock fender? If you read Suprablur's post on Socal (link provided) it will discuss my concern in more detail.

Also, this is one reason why I hate group buys. You always have people who say they are interested in purchasing an item but when it is time to cough up the money they wuss out. At this point we are short two people. Will anybody in the interested column willing to pay the $50 deposit so Shine Auto can start production? If not, will Shine Auto go ahead with 8 confirmed buyers as opposed to 10? If Shine will not proceed, when can we get our refunds for our deposits?

This GB started Jan 10th, 2007. It's now Mid March. Is there a cut off by Shine where the project is a no go and deposits are refund? What concerns me more isn't the 2 buyers who has not paid their deposits, but there does not seem to be a contingency plan should the project not go through.

After a buyer orders multiple units from a vendor, it's up to the buyer to deal with any surplus. Would you ask other companies, like VIS/Veilside/Bomex, to delay their production and sales efforts because you have an extra that you want to unload first?

I've already had numerous conversations with Shine so that it would start creating the mold with deposits for 10 sets, rather than waiting around to see if deposits for 15 sets will come. Let's keep this simple and get this project started. I want this group buy to be completed, asap, just like everyone else that has paid their deposit. I'll do us all a favor and buy the 10th set.

Thanks Rodel. In all honesty I do not believe that it would be hard to unload an extra set since it seems there is alot of interest garnered here on this website alone, it's just no one can come up with the money in the time frame alotted. There is a difference between I want it now and I can afford to pay the deposit now.

A quick remark to your above answer. The above companies you mentioned would already have products in hand and would most likely not require a group buy to even begin production. I am unsure if Shine will make more than 10 sets of the fender flares. If Shine only intends on making 10, then me trying to unload my third set would be a mute point.

However, if they intend on making more than 10, (which is more than likely), I just do not want to be competing with them in selling their product because I was trying to get a group buy going by buying an extra set that I didn't need to begin with. I gain no extra benefit in buying an extra set and selling it just to meet Shine's 10 deposit other than the fact that I get the sooner. And everyone else in that confirmed group benefits. I think my question is a valid question with no disrespect towards Shine.

However, since you have completed this group buy by purchasing the tenth set, then I thank you, like everyone else on the confirmed/deposit paid list. I have never purchased a Shine product and can now only hope that their reputations preceeds them.

We are still confident we can get this going. I just need a bit of help. I need a supra down at our shop to make a adjustments on the front flares. They dont fit that well and we need a car.

If someone is willing to come down here, let us make adjusments to the flares and see how they look against the fenders, that would help alot !
