GT35R turbo kit for 1JZ

We are putting together a turbo kit for Suprahero, and I thought I would post some pics. It is still just a mock up, so the hoses will not all stay like they are in the pics. We included an oil filter because this is a nice ball bearing turbo, and we put Aeroquip "fire sleeve" on the hoses where they will be near the manifold. We would only do this kit as a special order type thing, but we will be offering a complete oil/coolant line kit for this in case anyone wanted to order the rest of the parts on their own.

Yeah I would also like to know for future reference if/when I ever think I need an upgrade to the stock twins.
I got to see this setup in person and I gotta say, the pics do it no justice. Its super clean and oh so nice!

I might be understimating slightly which is why I said "around $2300", but lets say under $2400 just to be sure. I have to find better sources from some of the items I had to special order. For the intercooler we already sell the kits and it would be easy to make it work with this turbo on a 1jz. The complete DIY intercooler kit would be under $500 including the intercooler, piping, silicone couplers/reducer/elbows and all t-bolt clamps. The intercooler will be the same as the 24x9x3 core we put on HID Planet's car, or the 24x12x3 core if you want.

I honestly would not even want to make a twin kit. It's just too expensive and too time consuming to build, and you can get pretty damn close to the same spool and the same power out of a single turbo like the gt35r.

I have that ct26 1jz manifold at the fab shop, I would really like to get one on a engine and see what it do! The downpipes are done so that manifold is next. I think it will be purfect for a 400whp 1jz with fast spool.

you're not going to make much power trying to get the same response you get from the stock twins. and the response they have isn't only because of the fact that there are two of them instead of one solely.

just keep it simple. one turbo is enough. size it right for your wants/needs.

my car needs to come in for some work anyway as you know and maybe this is another option instead of just replacing with another set of CT12s

The only one I can test is the first one I made, so I can have a jig made off of it and then we (I mean you LOL) could put on and we could get an idea of how it does, then we would swap it out for the final version when they are done.

That price was with a turbo. The price may be a little higher now because I'm not getting the same cost on the turbo as before. Anything custom would add to the price. I will not make this kit to fit a manifold you aready have. If I'm going to make it, it needs to be a complete kit.

This kit is non ball bearing, but it's a really nice turbo reguardless. It's only going to be about $1500!
