Looks hot, doesn't sound all that great IMO.

My engine looks like poo but sounded better I think (have to turn the volume up though)

why would you spend all that time and money on an NA :icon_razz I want to buy an NA, but strictly for DD, not gonna put a dime in it.

well then you might as well just get a little light beater like a civic. if you arent gonna touch the supra, why not save on gas and get a 4bangin' beater? no?

bah, thats shit in my opinion. all the work done in chroming it. sounds like shit, looks like shit and the guy is wearing a sweater. wtf. and im glad that carbon fiber intake shaved 2.2 oz off the total weight.

and no, no air filter. just a velocity stack.

Did you guys see the header ect???? I dont know yes there is a bunch of time and money into it and its still NA but its all about what you yourself are happy with. If I saw this car at a show and the car was as clean as the bay I would totally be a supporter. Sometimes its not about horsepower!!!

^^^ I couldn't agree more.... now, what's up with the cooling system?

"268.4bhp and 289.2 fts of tq to be exact on stock timing .pump gas and stock cams. inline 6-cyclinder 3litre"

I call BS on that one, but it looks like the motor is in a 240SX, which is why the cooling system is strage.

That's and MK4 NA.

268.4bhp and 289.2 fts on stock stuff is BS.
unless he rated it the ricer way...
Stock - 220hp
intake - 10hp
exhaust - 10 hp
header - 15 hp
tune - 10hp
total gain = 265hp... :bigthumb:

M3s with cams, intake, exhaust, ecu tune gets around 245whp and they start off with 210whp stock.

Okay, so it's not a 7M.... thought it was supposed to be a 7M and I couldn't figure it out. Good to know, I couldn't begin to think of how to move the thermostat housing to the other side of the head.

iirc it dynoed 230ish rwhp with a auto, weighed 3200ish lbs and ran high 13s.......theres was a video of it floating around SF with it beating a TT

Also, I don't like how some people always say, "why didn't he go turbo?", point is, he didn't, this is what he has, and I'm sure of the accomplishments he's done with it, if he indeed, like Iceberg said, beat some TT Supra's. I'd certainly be proud of an accomplishment like that.

thats cool and everything... but all that money for 230ish rwhp?

Matt and you wonder why people say "why didnt he go turbo"

I wonder why he didnt just go turbo, couldve made double the same, or less money.

edit: and werent both of us just talking about how a certain member has spend so much money on his all motor setup, when he probably isnt going to make any more power than your average ct car??? Ha we were both wondering "why not just go turbo"

Talking about defiant 7m huh? Well, some people want to be different, or something. It's up to the person who has the car....

meh, I saw a fully built mkiv na at the last dyno meet around here. had headwork, headers, etc. Made 215whp on a dynopac.

haha, I think I'll follow suit after this post...

the difference between auto power, and manual power at those power levels, isnt going to make a big difference, maybe 5% or so more loss with a stock auto, than a stock manual, so we're talking around 12hp total. Impressive none the less for a NA car, but not cost efficient IMO

anywho, I didnt come to this thread to stir anything up, so Ill be moving on now :)
