Wastegate spring Q's

Hey everyone,

I need clarification on the spring i have on my Tial 38mm wastegate.

I have a the wastegate with a 7psi spring, what does that mean?

Does that mean, the wastegate starts to control AFTER 7psi? Or does it mean that it can only control UP to 7psi?

it means that it will hold 7psi then open so your engine will only see 7psi but you can fool the waste gate with a boost controller

I have a boost controller and boost cut on my standalone set at 18psi, will my 7psi wastegate spring able to control it?

Yes your wastegate can control it

It depends. Size of turbo, spool characteristics.

it means unless you have a boost controller, the Wastegate will open at 7PSi and start bleeding off pressure so you cannot make more boost.
