I noticed that the knock sensor connector is hanging on the side of the engine. I can't seem to find where it goes (it is very cold here) anyone have a picture or info on where it is located..

On the 7mgte they are located on the drivers side under the intake manifold, about half way down the block. I dont think you can see them good, but you can feel them easily. I think the NA just has one knock sensor. GL

If it helps, (I dont know if an NA uses one or two sensors) on a GTE block which is the same as an NA, the front knock sensor is 2" below the top and 4" back from the front of the block. The rear sensor is 3" below the top and approx 6" from back of the block. Unfortunately its impossible to see them from top side of the engine compartment, although its possible to reach in under the intake and feel where they are. Good luck

im prolly wrong but from looking at the cut up harness from my red car i think its on the passenger side of the motor below the exhaust manifold toward the front above or near the oil filter.
hope it helps im not completely sure as i cant see it on my white car just going by the harness.

Thank you for all the responses. I should have been a bit clearer in the description. The plug is yellow in color, and it is hanging near the forward passenger side of the block just below the exhaust manifold. The oil pressure sender connector is in this area. I just cannot seem to find where to connect it.
If it's yellow and you're looking at the harness end and not something attached to the block you're probably looking at the connector for the O2 sensor.

What shape is the connector? How many wires? A digitial camera comes in handy in these situations...

it's easy to get at and remove the best way to get at it to remove you alt and the oil vapon tube off the vavle covers use 1 1/6 socket and bang it's off it's easy to find cause it will be the only thing with big hex on it
its on the side of the block by the jtube
