View Full Version : Bay Area Supra Dyno Session?

So, im trying to get all the supras from the Bay Area for a gathering and maybe too, have a dyno day. Im trying to get a crew together to see if anyone wants to have a dyno session here in Santa Rosa or in San Rafael. I have a friend here in town that can, im pretty confident, that he will give us a group rate on his 4 wheel dyno.

Im open on date settings and times, i think i just need to give my friend, the shop's owner, a couple weeks notice to set up the sesssion.

Are there any of the forum members are interested in a dyno session?:biglaugh:

I'm game....if it is on a weekend. It's a drive for me but I can probably crash at a hotel or something. Just let me know.

For me the best time is the start of the new year. But I am down whenever as long as I put in my clutch by then...

Yeah any weekend after the new years is good for me. Got a few more kinks to work since the rebuild.

The last Dyno meet was 3 runs for $30.

Alright, i contacted my friends shop here locally, and this what I got from him as for our group session.

It has to be on a Saturday, but i have to give a 3 weeks advance notice.

3-4 pulls for $95 w/ AF reading.

10 cars MAX.

He said if we group the cars together, for the time to strap up the cars, the rate would be lower. So if can get him a list what is coming out, he maybe be able to reconsider the price.

$85 to rent the dyno for an hour to tune/tweak whatever.

Dates, normally he can do it any weekend. Sat or Sunday. Both days could be an option too depending on how many.

LoL I do.. But I want to see the number difference from clutch alone.. Because last time I got 106 Hp with like 96 TQ all to the wheels.

What is the name of the shop? What kind of dyno is it? Can he tune a MAFT Pro?

It looks like that renting does not come with a tning service. It may have to be done by you.
YOu want me to to check with my tuner? I am sure he has experience with MAFTpro with the DSM.s..

I talked to Sean and he wants $180/hr for 4 hours....can't afford that.
