i bought a block from a person that lives near me, and he told me that it had ARP rod bolts and ARP main studs. i took the oil pan off today, and i became a bit confused. it obviously has arp main studs, but im not sure whats on the rods? i asked a few people and they have told me that ALL ARP hardware is 12 sided, and these only have 6 sides

I believe the rod bolts only have 6 sides from ARP.

Yes, those look exactly like my ARP Rod bolts. If you can see the other side of the rod, the Bolt end, it will have ARP engraved on it
Here are some pics from my build, looks the same as yours

The ARP bolts also have a black finish where as the stock ones are more raw steel looking.

The arp rod bolts are two sided just like stock bolts, the nuts that go on the bolts are six sided, just like stock. the rod bolts will also have "arp" stamped offset on the head of the bolt.
