well i just got back from the track and i'm somewhat pleased. i running on a 255/40/17 street tire and they totally suck for traction. i was running 25psi on pump gas/meth injection.
my best run was an 8.1@97.5mph. :(
i was really hoping to break 100mph in the 1/8. i'm getting soo close. here is a new problem. i'm smacking the rev limter right before the finish in 3rd. i wonder if it's even worth my time to shift to 4th on just keep holding in 3rd.
i bet if i shifted around 6000 or 5800 i bet i could get that extra mph that i want..
any ideaas???

not bad mike. what was your 60'? 2.3 range?
i think if you switch to a little taller tire it would help your rev problem. you are running a 25" tire now and if you went to a 26" it would probably push you right to the line before you hit the rev limit. or a 27" will fit as well, if you wanted to go that tall.
keep at it!

my 60ft was a 2.1, i had to keep pedaling it down the track. traction is a huge concern for me. i think tires are going to be my next purchase.

Some Nitto 555r's will help alot, but with your horsepwer you could probably still break traction. If you ran about 12psi in them, then you should be o.k. I kept looking but couldn't find the video of this alleged run....................;)

At your power level you definetely want some ET Streets to get that power down when you go to the track
