sorry for the newb question but i need to know what this is, and if there is anyway to remove it without screwing stuff up, basically the bottom of it broke where the bottom bolt attachs annnd so yea, its leaking like a bastard...

Its the Idle Air Control Valve. Your going to want to get a good one. Without it, the car will not maintain proper Idle under all conditions.

ytea, the sensor itself is not faulty, just the flange is cracked :(
