this is more of a gauging interest thing. i know, (as with most mkiii owners) that price is a concern.
i rewired my Knock Sensors a few thousand miles ago, and i made a pretty sweet harness (separate from the main wiring harness) for them using coaxial cable. (the stuff i used is thick, like CB cable, with a solid copper core) its incredibly durable, and thickly insulated.
basically this would be a nearly plug and play kit, with only two spots that need to be soldered. so all you would need to do is unplug your old connectors, cut them off so they dont hang there, plug in this harness, route it into the cab. next is to solder the two solid core wires to the KS wires, and ground two other cables to a location of your choice.
it has a detailed (two pages) set of instructions that comes with it, and i am a chronic email checker if anyone has questions.
it comes with zip ties to secure it to the body/harness or wherever you'd like, and the grounding point comes with an eye-loop connector already on it.
i will post up pics of my setup within the next few days, to show how its made. the wires are held together with a wire loom(wire wrap, whatever you call it)
all the solder joints are tested with an ohm meter, checked for continuity.
the only other thing that MIGHT be a problem is if someone has a bad knock sensor itself. i will back up my product, if it is defective.
the price would is $50 for an N/A harness, -$60 for a turbo harness.

edit: here's a pic of the updated design and wrap- http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c295/shaeff/supra%20resto/th_ksrewire.jpg (http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c295/shaeff/supra%20resto/ksrewire.jpg)
