Meet for the Summer TN, NC, GA...etc...

Let's organize a meet for the summer. I was thinking something like either going to Atlanta to have a MK3 supra dyno weekend or heaven forbid road atlanta.

However, if the group attending isn't so strictly car oriented, a meet in Chattanooga, TN where they have the Aquarium might be nice.

Post up your suggestions and we'll go from there.

I am thinking of the Opry Mills ( opryland) meet this July!

I will be getting things together this summer for it, try to get a good turnout...not only with mk3's but with mk4's as well...and there are PLENTY of them around Nashville!

I know as of right now, 8 mk4 owners. All highly modified to boot! Two buddies with RB25det swaps into s14 chassis....and one right hand drive s13 slivia swap...of course you guys with the mk3's.....3 other s13 conversions...300-350z's out the heezzzy frasheezy, Porsche's. Type-R's.....a 550whp civic and teggy....1000hp corvette.....Grand nationals....I can get about all the fast cars in town up there.

Well I am organizing a meet for Opryland hotel this sommer...not OpryMILLS....i dont like the mall parking spaces...i remember how crammed they are too during the sommer...

the Hotel has a covered parkign space so if it rains or is just too darn sunny that we wont get bit by either or...

My phone number is 1-615-513-8325 or home: 1-615-895-8329 if anyone has questions....though i wont have alot of answers till this saturday when i go to the Z club meet at Opryland Hotel....see they are being catered and got 50+ parkin spaces reserved for all teh Z cars coming down from Michigan, TN, Ala, Gga, Ill and so on....They are estimating over 100 cars!!!!!!!!!!
So if we can do just 1/3 that amount, i would say we could start a yearly meet!
Chattanooga is to far south of TN to be a Statewide meet I think...everyone knows how to get to Nashvegas..and its VERY simple to get to Opryland Hotel..you cant miss it...its a NATIONAL attraction...the biggest hotel in the world isnt it?

i agree about the hotel being more centralized for a meet. i would go to chattanoogga though too. but on another note. siman where is the covered parking that the hotel has. the only place i can think if is in lot E. which is the overflow lot and is over a half mile form the hotel front door. i know they held the viper convention back in that lot a few years ago. just wondering. plus if you are going to be there sat stop by the casades entrance i will be working from 10-8. you won't miss me you will spot the damn hat i have to wear a half mile away.

Chatty just happens to be about equidistant from the ATL people, the knoxville people, AND the nashville people. If we want to just have a TN meet, use your thread siman. I found one guy that worked at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and he said that they had the place DONATED for the meet! I was like HOLY CRAP!

The food fomr Moe's southwestern grill was about $300 bucks to feed 200 people...so do the math. Maybe charge a little extra for a raffle ticket for things to give away.

Mine is going to be in Nashville at the Opryland Hotel.

I have decided against the opryland thing. Maybe the mall parking lot would be better.

I say lets meet downtown nashville! That would be cool. And then we could take some backroads to murfreesboro....

I would really like to have it on a saturday, knowing that we could cruise to the speedway and have some fun drag racing. Its $15 or $20 to race and park.
Supra's would take over the night!

What do we say about the 23rd of July. Thats 3 weeks from now, more than enought time to make time with jobs and other family and so on.

Like I said, we could meet in downtown nashville. Then drive down to the speedway ( little 3/4 mile track where they hold 1/8th mile drags all night till midnight) and have some fun with the ricers......

Meeting up at noonish would give us enough time to eat and get aquanted and stuff...

and make sure everyone brings spare oil and coolant...and some spare motors and heads....headgaskets....fuses.... :biglaugh: j/k

Go to mapquest. Use BMW of nashville as the destination since its litterally RIGHT beside the mall.
