Ok I searched but couldn't find it. I know there is a list of what diff. came in which cars. Off the top of my head I think it is:
Base model NA's, open 4.30
Sport Model NA's LSD 4.30
87-88 Turbo's 5spd, 3.91 LSD
87-88 Turbo AT, 3.73 LSD
89+ Turbo AT and 5spd 3.73
No such thing as a 3.71

gives you a better highway mpg, some times worse city depending on how hard you are on the gas, not the perfect drag ratio,
i swaped a 3.91 in out of a 88turbo i was running a 4.30 and found first and second went by pretty quick,
im pretty happy with the gears i choose, but do wish atsome time to swap and try the others out.
eh there's little difference between .01 & .03 diff of .02... 2cents any one?

hmm interesting, so with a 4.30 lsd swap what are cruising speeds like on the highway in comparison to the .73, .91,.30?

with the 4.3 NA LSD you will probably be sitting at 4000 at 70mph atleast ( I guess). The 4.3 on a turbo is not for gas mileage, its for racing.
Wouldn't want that front diff ratio in there!! ;)
4.3+ R154 5th = 3200rpm @ 70mph

yes i was going to go with a 4.30 but i decided to stick with my 3.91 since i didn't want highway speeds to be well over 3krpm
