yes, i got it from toypro. :) i have an uber-crappy digicam, so any pics i take of it will do it no justice.
along with the body makeover that's been on hold until the snow flies, there will be no more pics of it. i just got bored and felt like making a thread. haha.
i also bought toypro's NSX headlights. ;)

yeah, i figured if i didn't like it, that i'd just re-sell it for what i paid. regardless, i love the way it looks. i held it up to the car when i got it, and it's awesome. i can't wait to get my bodywork done so i can put this on and my hatch visor!

heh, you guys crack me up. :) the car is coming along nicely, though, if anyone is interested.
i'm about to order some SS braided lines and fittings for my oil cooler to get rid of the rubber lines and hose clamps, use the stock oil cooler for my powersteering, and then finish mounting my huge ass IC. once that's all done, i'll start putting panels back on, then install the NSX headlights, and button up the front end for paint. :)
oh yeah, and it looks WAY better on an all black car, with blacked out lights, and tint... which is exactly what i'm doing. ;)

hey shaeff how difficult has it been for you to apply NSX head lights to the Supra so far?
Lets say from a scale of 1-10.
mk3supra
02-05-2007, 02:14 PM
who sells the 89+ blinker covers?
shaeff
02-05-2007, 04:11 PM
Kevin M. sells '89+ blinker covers,
and as far as mounting the NSX lights, there's a LOT of cutting of the radiator support. once it's all done, i'm going to reinforce it because i'm removing a lot of material. i can't give you a difficulty rating yet, as i'm not far enough into it. ;)
edit: i'm not a fan of the 2x round lights per housing. they need some sort of bezel around them so it's not just a hole in the back of them. (that's how it looks from the pic, anyway)

it's the reflection that brings out the two horizontal bars that makes it look slightly different..

shaeff
02-07-2007, 06:26 PM
yeah, bondie, i bet with custom fiberglass bezel that surrounds the lights entirely, it'll look sick. :)
a brief update on my NSX headlight install- it's WAY more work than i anticipated! i cut out section of the core support that needed to go, and A CRAPLOAD of material needs to be removed from the headlight buckets. luckly, i have spares if i screw it up.
i still can't get the one side i'm working on to fit properly, and i've removed a ton of material from the car. this is proving to be quite the project. no pics though, heh.

^ tek- they're nice, i read your writeup on them, but they're too low profile for me. haha. :) i think the NSX's are the perfect height. if only they fit easier!

update: i'll be snapping some pics of my hacked up front end this week. the NSX project is a handful, most definatly NOT for the faint of heart.
you have to cut up the radiator support quite a bit. i plan on bracing it up again after the headlights are installed. i haven't actually made the last two cuts yet. i have to grow some real testicles.

Someone please let me know if this doesnt work on our cars for some reason but for about 100 dollars you can get a controller to lower your headlights any height you want, cant remember where i found the link at the moment but i heard alot of 240 guys use them.
EDIT, a quick google search turned up this, according to the ad it should work http://www.nlmotoring.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=4768
shaeff
02-11-2007, 05:10 PM
yeah, i plan on using a pivot controller for the lights. that's not my problem. the problem is physically getting the lights to fit in the car, while retaining the pop-up feature, as well as not looking like ass. :(
i should have some progress by next weekend.
