I just wanted you and everyone else to know that i recieved everthing in excellent condition. You should know that the Purolator website would not allow the package to be tracked and DHL made the final delivery to me.
The quality of these 2 pieces is incredable. I couldn't stop staring at them. There were times that I found myself in the garage standing over them just looking at them. I installed everything at my brother-in-law's shop. One of his mechanics helped me. At some point during the install each of the other mechanics (6 of them) apeared next to me under the car looking at what I was doing. Every jaw dropped when they saw what I had.
Feedback:
Install- was smooth for the most part. I had 1 problem and 1 recomendation.
Problem was that once installed the premuffler on the cat back (HKS Dragger) Rubbed on the rear suspension assembly. My solution was to cut the test pipe flair one side this allowed one side to be inserted inside the other. reinstall, tac and weld. This allowed for the 1/2 inch of clearence that was needed. It also allowed for rotation of the cat back to set it perfectly.
Recomandation is to add a hanger to the test pipe. I was not comfortable allowing all the weight of the dp and tp to hang on the bolts at the turbo. My solution to this was to resuse the formed bracket that the stock dp is banded to at the bottom of the curve and weld the dp directly to the bracket.
Performance is increadable! The combo of your pipes and the HKS Dragger has added 2+ lbs. of boost. I'm now hitting fuel cut with the stock fuel system and a stock ct-26. The tone is low and smooth. The volume at WOT and full boost is not loud, But sounds real mean.
I will take some pics the next time I 'm under the car.(I was to excited about the install and forgot to take my camera.)
