so i want to upgrade my fuel lines, im think from the top of the fuel rail to that joint on the side of the block, not sure whats it called. is there a kit that anyone sells? What sizes in AN fittings are the threads on the fuel line and the joint? Any type of welding needed? ...etc...etc...

Any good info would be very helpful....Thanks.

That is the fuel feed line to the rail...it goes from the junction on the block to the back of the fuel rail. I used AN-6 stainless line. The fitting is a 14mm x 1.5mm to AN-6 adapter...you will need two...one for the fuel rail and one for the junction on the block. Use teflon paste on the metric threads where it screws into the rail and junction...don't use anything on the AN side of the fitting. I used a 120 deg AN-6 elbow at the back of the rail and a 90 deg AN-6 elbow at the top of the junction....cut the stainless line to fit.

wat are the bads about removing the FPD?

noisy. it may be POSSIBLE to have unequal fuel delivery across the rail.

No. All the fpr does is stop any pulses coming from your tank, usually via the pump. It makes for a smooth ,uniform delivery of fuel to the rail.
BTW when you asked about there being any welding required on fuel lines i nearly cracked up :biglaugh:
Good luck.

You don't have to weld it...it's a metric thread fitting...same size as I posted above. Just make sure you use Teflon PASTE on the metric fitting to the rail. Teflon tape can shred...you don't want that in your injectors ;)
