89 supra turbo, there is oil in the intake and inside the intercooler piping, i need to do a compression check. how do you tell if it is the rings or the valve seals? or the turbo. the turbo doesent have any play in it. it smokes when it is idleing for like 4 minutes, it just smokes continuously blue smoke but it doesent do it going down the road unless i get on it hard. it will smoke when i take off from a stop usually. i can see the smoke really well becouse my muffler had turn ups on it. thanx

turn ups eh?
ok ricer jokes aside... it could be a few things..does the smoke go away after the car warms? if so valve seals
does it smoke under boost? if so probably turbo seals
chances are its not your rings... rarely do people have that problem.. do a compression test..and possibly a leak down test that'll tell you about the rings...but like i said most likely the turbo or valve seals
then ofcourse there is the PCV system..you'll almost always have oil in your intake tract thanks to the design of the PCV, get a catch can to elminate that...
good luck.

PCV and turbo are your best bets
