turbo vr6

i was on the highway tonight and a black gti pulls up next to me, maybe a 95 or so, steps on it and i hear a blow off valve... we race from a role but i was in 5th the whole time... walked all over him, i would think a 6 cylander---> turbo would be pretty damn quick, then we raced again up the road i heard a downshift(dont know what gear) so i down shifted to 4th and we both took off, i win again

nice... the vr6 wasn't diesel turbo was it ? possibly cuz i know the guys around here build the diesel gti but this is asheville
