Got killed by a supra!!!!!!!

I went to the track saturday night and raced a white 1989 MKIII. I was totally distracted by the beauty of the other driver. It got me a little off of my game. She took off like a rocket, and I tried playing catch up. I lost by a car length, but the other driver was gracious in winning and gave me a big hug and kiss. OH yeah, it was MKIIIVixen. She is also my wife. I just thought I would be a big man and admit that she outran me and probably has at least a hundred less horsepower.

I did outrun a souped up stationwagon with a built 350. The best time I ran was a 9.30. I put my new drag radials on and was still spinning. I've got to learn to do some better burnouts. My car felt really strong, but I can't get my 60' below 2.4, and it's just killing me.

When my wife and I raced, the lights weren't working yet so we didn't get our times, but I would guess that hers was about a 9.30. She ran a few more times and didn't get off the line good. We're just learning to race so we'll get better at it as we go....................lol

I assume those are 1/8th mile times, anyways its cool you and your wife race. I have gone to gateway a couple times to run its about 110 miles away in st. louis theres an 1/8th mile a lot closer but I hate running 1/8th mile being a turbo car half the run is the build up lol. Anyways cool man.

It really was a good race and I was really proud of her. I wouldn't have given her a chance in hell of outrunning me, but she did, and there wasn't anything I could do about it but spin, spin, spin...................lol

Ummm shouldn't that be "I'm just learning to race" It sounds like Vonda has it down pat already if she nailed you with 100hp less :)!

I won't let her drive mine at the track. Our track sucks. I was spinning through second and then barking third like it was second with my drag radials on. I seriously have to start doing some fifteen second burnouts before I stage. I was burning out until it wanted to catch. Usually about two or three seconds then it would grab. Apparently that's not long enough for the dr. I will learn to get them hot, and then get my 60' times down to 2.00. I will ask Vonda to help me out next saturday though. I can use all the help I can get............lol

Never!!!!!!!! I'm just going to have to learn to launch without spinning. I may start out in third next time. Can't be any slower that way than the way I'm running now...............:burnout:

Edit: Their will be no Nos. She already wants her boost raised. She's at 11 psi now. I guess I'll end up getting her some 550's and a 255 fuel pump and a lexus afm. Will this madness ever stop?.................:biglaugh:
