I am looking to buy a jdm engine, I want to be sure it is a 7MGTE. Are there any identifying marks, on the block, that would identify it as a turbo?

turbo oil drain hole, two threaded holes on intake side for knock sensor (GE has one). those should be the most obvious.

Is it coming with a turbo? I think that one would be obvious... Oil pan has an oil line in it also, ge doesn't.
Well... as opposed to what?

heh. MOST LIKELY you should be getting your motor with a turbo, also the timing belt cover has a sticker on it that says 7M-GTE.
the intake manifolds are different. the GE has a ypipe going into the plenum, the GTE has a straight pipe that has a 3000 etched in it in big numbers.
the GTE has a coilpack which will be sitting on top of the valve covers. it also has a CPS instead of a distributor.
if its a complete long block, the most obvious sign that it is a GTE is the big piece of metal hanging off the exhaust side of the engine...

Yea Turbo vs NA is VERY easy to detect.
Top 10 ways to identify in non specific order
#1 Turbo
#2 Valve Covers, Turbo has 4 studs for coil packs, NA says 3000 in big letters
#3 Intake Manifold, NA has access port on top and Y pipe going to TB
#4 Oil filter, NA has a oil filter off the block, turbo has oil filter adaptor
#5 Turbo oil out, There is a big hole in the block for oil return
#6 Lines for watercooling running from thermostat housing back to turbo
#7 Oil pan is tapped for oil cooler return with GTE
#8 There is a sticker on the front that usually says GE or GTE
#9 The exhaust manifold has a spot for a turbo
#10 Yellow injectors = NA Grey/black = Turbo
I could keep going but im sure by now you can figure it out! =)
