setup in sig + intercooler, hardpipes, SSQV, A1 traction arms, mickey thompson street radials, rebuilt trans with 2900 stall covertor, aluminum driveshaft, minor weight reduction, race gas, + 2lbs of boost, brake boosting off the line, can i get low 13's? would like to know before i agree to a race with a mid to low 13 sec built 65 Mustang.....


EDIT: bahahahahaha i ran a 15.0..... with no driveshaft, intercooler kit and tools in the back

10 pounds of boost i was able to get a 13.7 with a 2.1 or so 60 foot.

that was on street tires. with some good drag radials im sure i could have gotten a low 13 second pass.

also FWIW, on the high way i had no problem walking my friends STI which did 13 seconds flat at the track.

i had 46 trim ct, intercooler and i/c hardpipes, 3" exhaust, stock elbow, 9psi and street tyres and i did consistent mid 13's pb was a 13.3 :)
i would say you'll get a 13 easy :)

what kind of HP do you need to get an MK3 into the low 13's on street tires?

last year one day I did 10 passes on the stock turbo/intercooler at 13+ psi and all my runs were between 13.4-13.9 on street tires. probably pushing around 300rwhp. with some slicks I bet I could take .5 sec off thoes times.

so 300-325 HP would be in the 13.3 range, maybe?

60-1 w/ 10 degree clipping, 3" DP, Ported Elbow, Hardpipes, HKS SSQV, Astripped and gutted interior, new A340E, "literally" lots of other stuff and electronics all on 16psi...

I've been sweating breaking into the 13's for a while now...:(
I have raced 5 cars now that all ran 13's and I clearly beat all of them...
But I'm scurrrr'd that I'll some how or another run 14's. :(

My friend made a 13.5sec pass on lex, 550's, intake and exhaust. He may have had slicks, I don't remember though. Not sure of the boost he was running either.
