one of the things i forgot to ask the previous owner of my ride was if he replaced the stock hg. is there anyway to firgure out if i still got the stocker without removing the head?

yeah, check to see if its blown.

look for rivits in the parts of the HG that are showing, if they are presant then you have a metal head gasket.

compression /leakdown test/gas test to see if theres exhaust gases in the coolant.

disclaimer: some may show positive and some may not be blown and vice versa

oh i misread this entire thread. i thought you were asking if you had a metal headgasket.

theres a chemical test also to test if combustion gasses have mixed with the engine coolant.

with all that said, welcome to the wonderful world of BHG 7ms.

u can use litmus paper in the coolant.. i cant remeber what way is waht :) but theres a way haha. then there is leak down test.. compression test.. and if its all good.. dont worry about it.. then when it blows. find out :D
