Hey there all Seattle/Tacoma/Everett Supra (MkIII) owners, now that the weather is getting more Supra friendly, we should try to get a small informal meet together at either GG's or a similar park in the metropolitan area together! I, personally can't wait till August for the next Supra meet! Maybe something at XXX in Issaquah? Lets hear some idea's.:icon_bigg

Man, it would be worth the price of admission to see that beast you're building finally out tearin' it up! I was thinking the end of this month or sooner, depending on how many people we can get to commit to it. I know there are quite a few MkII owners with running cars out there, just finding a date where everyone can show up is the challenge. I think we should meet at XXX, inn Issaquah (great burgers!) Hang out and look over the Supra's, and then head out to Golden Gardens for a cruise.:naughty: I personally would like to try for Saturday, 24th, or Sunday 25th. lets keep this thread rollin', and keep kickin' the ideas around.:icon_bigg

The XXX idea sounds good, but you know the following weekend Jul 1 or 2 there is an all toyota meet/car show at XXX?
Cruisin out to golden gardens would be alright too. If my car isn't ready I could always bring the SS and show you what its got ;)

Oh yeah, that's right. I completely forgot about the PSTOC, or whatever they call that stereo show!:biglaugh: I have no desire to be anywhere near that, so I guess we'll shoot for the 24th, or 25th.

its an ok show but not my taste, last bbq i showed up for me and nate just played basketball through their entire awards ceremony.
my b-day's the 30th of this month:naughty: that'd a perfect weekend but if we have to do it before that that'd work too.

I would be able to make it if I can figure out how to mount my damn FMIC.
I have been staring at it for approx. 3 days and just can't figure out how in the hell I am going to mount it....
I'm hoping by this Sunday though I should ahve all my new stuff done; still need to pick up a good ct26 though since the deathwhine is killing my chi.

We should just have meets this summer to help people out like ^ this guy, instead of us standing arround talking about what we want to do why dont we have a meet and get something done? I'm running out of money to put in more wrench time on my car so why not help someone else?

Luis;
I'm not sure that is something Kyle could bring with him to the meet, and someone could install it.:icon_conf I'm sure he'll figure it out, and will probably be there. I think he's just venting some frustration, and maybe fishing for someone to say, "I'll come over and help you". If I was more of a mechanic type I'd help him, but he doesn't want my help!:aigo: :biglaugh: All I can do is bolt stuff on! Any kind of fabrication work, and I'm out in left field!:icon_razz

If we were to have a meet, it would have to be at my parents house, as that is where the car is stranded.
I need to install the FMIC and FFIM, then after I finally fab brackets up for the FMIC I need to reinstall all of the brackets/hood latch(correctly) And then try and fit my piping....
However;
If anyone feels like they do want to help and you are free tomorrow afternoon, you could always give me a call @ 425-299-7564 (name Kyle)
I live in Lynnwood, about 5 minutes off the freeway. I'm awesome @ giving directions since I deliver pizza(for about 3 years now).
That is Sunday afternoon I will be working on it..
From about 3:00PM to until it gets dark..
Oh, and thats rain or shine.

Here are some pictures of the FMIC top mounted, I have yet to make the bottom brackets but it's in there VERY tight.
http://www1.snapfish.com/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=44323999/a=54326203/t_=54326203
They are very dark pictures... As I just got done making the brackets, finding the correct bolts, and fitting them up.
I made a total of 6 brackets before I got it right...
Oh well; it's mounted for the time being.
Now if only I could get ahold of Seth.
If anyone has his #, could you plz PM me it.. I need to get ahold of him if I have any chance of finishing tomorrow.

Yes, that was me dude. Welcome to the forum! This meet is just somethin' I thought up, just to get out and roll with some MkIII peeps, w/o the MkIV folks mean-muggin' us "low budget" types!:biglaugh: If the weather is good, and someone has a good video camera, we might be able to shoot something forum worthy. Maybe a good DDP pass through the I90 tunnels.:naughty:Always good to represent one of the worlds finest auto's, in numbers.:icon_bigg Looking to try and get this together the weekend of the 24th/25th, whichever day can bring more cars.

I think were going to have to see a better response than who has already posted, to justify a meet. Looks like it's about 4 0r 5 Supra's right now. I'd like to see about twice that many. But, regardless of how many reply, I'm planning on doing the day anyways, and hoping for the best. I think about a 11:00am-12:00pm meet up at XXX. Grub, and hang out for awhile, then hit the road for GG, via I-90 across the lake. Feel free to suggest anything else anyone might have in mind.:icon_razz

Golden Gardens is just a nice Washington state beachfront park.:icon_razz It has bbq grills, picnic tables and whatnot, also a large parking lot. Unfortunately, it is usually very crowded, but everywhere is crowded nowdays! I know Steve is a great Supra guy, and a nice guy to boot, however he is a MkIV owner. I really wanted this just to be MkIII cars only. I've heard other MkIII owners say that they would go to more meets, if the "stuck up" MkIV guys weren't there. There are plenty of cool ones (owners) but some MkIII peeps are uncomfortable because there cars are a "little rough around the edges". I'm not trying to devide the community, just trying to get a few MkIII's out together, without feeling overshadowed by $40,000-$70,000 Supra's:aigo:

HohOhoHO~
All I need to do is bolt up the intake mani/ISC/fit throttle cable up, and then cut/fit the piping from FMIC to FFIM and I will be ready.. Probably like... well sounds like 2 hours of work but knowing my skills probably a good 5-6 solid hours of putting everything back together before it's driveable.
So I would put that at about Sunday; however that time isn't good for me as my wife doesn't leave for work until 3:30.. I'll see what I can get out of her!

We could still do Saturday, I'll have to wait to see how many more people respond at all. Right now it looks like about 5 of us. I was hoping to get to 10. I think I'll put up a drop dead day of Wednesday the 21st. Even if I can't get 10 people to fully commit, and the weather is nice(?):aigo: I'm still going to head out on some sort of drive!
Karl's problem with the car being an Auto is fixable! Mine used to be. There is also a TH 400 swap kit available now too.

he's talking about a GM transmission that comes with an adapter for our cars, bassically an auto that can handle tons more hp than a stock toy auto. Hang out here long enough you'll be typing in code like the FFIM guys and BHG gurus with their RK and their SAFC with FCD equiped Supes
tom: i am still 50/50 on wether or not i will be able to go, if we do this sat i will go solo, but if we go sunday my dad is saying he wants to come allong so i can drive him to the dealerships to find a truck. That means i have to deal with about 8 hours of "your driving to fast!" "slow down", "your going to break your differential if you keep hitting 3k rpm!", if i bring him we can show him what it takes to break our cars:icon_evil

I plan on being up at the Federal Way Costco, (on Enchanted Parkway) at about noon Sunday. Well, your car is always worthy! And besides, it wasn't to show, just to hang out. But, it doesn't matter anyways, because I'm pulling the plug on the whole thing. Seems that there is a huge car show in Issaquah tommorow, that will have all of Front St. closed down from 8:00am-4:00pm. I tried to keep this thing rolling, but too many people have other plans, or couldn't free themselves from the grips of the j o bee!:nono: Well, there's always the Supra Fest in Aug. to look forward to!

Tom; like I said I'm still having a couple issues with my setup.
I started her up today and actually drove up my street; then drove down it; tried to boost hard in second gear after it was nice and warmed up and blew a damn IC pipe off!
Also; the TPS isn't quite fitting right... So i'm not sure what I'm going to do about that... Possibly buy some sheet metal and customize it in order to let the TPS sit flush with the mounting spot since right now the TPS doesn't even touch the flange.
And I may also be going with a new cable instead of the whole linkage setup as it has just been the biggest pain in the ass... Hopefully the wife will let me escape for a couple of hours to see what I can come up with.
Shitty about the meet; but suprafest is going to be sick..
If only I had a nice upgraded CT and stage 3 clutch so I could put down 450 HP... =x

Oh man, thats a real shame :( i have sunday off and everything...
I might be callin ya to cruise... or i could prep and paint more supra parts... hmmm
Also too bad Suprafest is a little out of budget for me, the hotel, gas, food, and entertainment fund would be much better spent on a bigger turbo or something, almost a shame running a CT-26 on a fully ARP + cometic build (i'm expecting to eventually hit 450 horses with this setup, but its gonna be awhile... still gotta get the beast running before i do any major upgrades, i'm planning on starting with a DDP and 3" catback though, next step will be MAFT-pro for boost control and speed/density)
