I am interrested in purchasing one of your DDP's and a test pipe. But I wan't to run them to a full catback exhaust system, and I was wondering if your test pipe will bolt directly up to say, a Blitz NUR spec catback system? Or any other aftermarket exhaust for my 88T. And if I'm in need of a special adaptor, where can I find one?

Thanx a bunch.

they are designed to bolt up to the stock exhaust and so is the blitz. so yes it will work. I am running a ddp, 3'' test with dump bolted up to my greddy sp 3.1''.

One more question. Wouldn't having the wastegate's airflow divorced from the DP create uneven boost? Like boost spike, and drop-off? If anyone can answer this, I would be very appreciative. I was told from a guy at Sport Compact Only, that the BIC DDP was unpredictable, and should only be done if you are a pro tuner. I'm stuck between buying the BIC DDP and just a regular HKS DP.

The Divorced wastegate downpipe really opens up the flow of the 7Mgte, I have dyno tested the BIC DDP vs the BIC standard 3" downpipe and found gains of 28 rwhp and about 17 tq, just by changing downpipes.
Some people notice a bit of boost creep in the higher rpms, but this is more due to the condition of the wastegate or actuator of the turbo not the downpipe. For the very few (2-3) people out of hundreds of downpipes sold that have had boost creep issues, porting out of the wastegate hole in the turbine housing has cured it. If you are worried about it you can still get the standard BIC 3" downpipe with the integrated turbo elbow, and you will se much bigger gains over the HKS downpipe because of the huge 3" elbow. The HKS downpipe uses a 2.5" flex section wich is no bigger than the stock downpipe and it doesnt replace the turbo elbow, which is where most of the power gains come from.

I told SCO to hold off on getting me that DP for that very reson. I saw you make 3" dp's with the elbow integrated, and their hks one doesn't, and it's also half an inch smaller than yours. I'm not sure if you got the PM I sent you yesterday, but it has what I need to get from you on it :icon_bigg

Thanks,

I think the Blitz catbacks are a little bit longer than the standard catback, can anyone confirm?, because I have made some custom shorter testpipes for Blitz exhausts.

I just put the Blitz NUR Spec exhaust on my 89. I have the BIC DDP, with no cats, just downpipe and cat back, there is a about a 10" gap, not sure how long your test pipes are. I just cut the downpipe and welded in an extension. Real easy and clean. Hope this helps.

My test pipes are 11 3/8" long, and I have mead the testpipes 1" shorter for prevoius customers, so It looks like 1" shorter should do the trick.

Randy,

I had a few more questions I e-mailed to you on 6/2. Did you receive the e-mail from toyota_addict?

the blitz does stick out about 1-1.5 inches further from the back of the car as apposed to other catbacks
