help needed uk supra fixer......

hi,just found this forum, at last , hope it grows. Im in need of help with my mk3 89 turbo ,the exhaust manifold gasket is blowing on cylinder 6 my local toyota dealers say the head may need helicoiling (very expensive) this job is abit above my head , it may not be the case but looks most likely so expecting the worse ,I only bought the car 3 weeks ago so am abit gutted as its a great car ,just wondering if anyone out there has experience with these engines or knows of anyone who is ,looking for someone willing fix it , or who has advice on the problem, thanks guys, greatfull for any help....

I am no expert my self but you might want to try posting this in the General discusions forum and the 7M Turbo Tech (7M-GTE) forum. You will get more responce then just in the country section.

not everyone is from the UK but there are many people here that know allot about the engine

dude it is not that bad a job to do but a toyota dealer will charge you a lot of money in labour because this isnt a 5 min job

Where in the UK are you? There is a huge community of mkiii owners who just know Mr Toyota is a bit on the pricey side!
