I have an auto 1990 Turbo with a HKS DP, High flow cat, Blitz NUR Spec cat-back, K&N FIPK, HKS MBC, GReddy turbo timer, HKS SSQV BOV, custom hardpipe kit, VENOM 400, and various other mods. I was out this past friday with my buddy jesse who also posts here and has a red 90 turbo 5 speed. We had the top off and were just kinda driving around town.
This guy in a DSM 3 GTV6 Eclipse who always waves at me, decided to follow us for a while right on my bumper while I did the speed limit down broadway which is like a 30 mph zone. He then does a ricer flyby so after he passes i give it just enough to get the BOV to blow next to his window. Then at the light we both turned left, when we turned i got up to the new speed limit of 35 mph and stayed there well he gets on it but since his exhaust was quit I didn't realize it and when I finally did he was 2 cars ahead with a head start, Me being stupid got on it and caught him at around 65 mph and started to pass and he decides to hit his brakes, I didn't for a lil bit, when I did my buddy said we were doing 100 in the 35 lol. I dropped off my buddy and turned up my boost back to 10 psi since the weather got warmer I was only boosting 7 when I went on him.
I went over to the local hangout after dropping jesse off and found his harry potter looking eclipse driving azz. I thought it was a stick when we went but I found out it was a shiftronic with an intake, MSD Ignition, Wires, Plugs , and a very rice inspired 50hp shot of wet nitrous courtesy of NX. This irritated me a lil considerintg I easily caught him running 7 psi when I shoulda had 10 and with a bud with me and he had nobody in his car. He was shit talking how he owned a Supra Turbo which wasn't really the case, I guess if your getting caught and you let off your the "winner" I think not. This time we went out to a wighway stretch thats empty and 4 wide in town, had mustang friend of his chase us, and with my boost back to the customary 10psi we ran from a 40 mph role, again he was manually shift and I was auto so I had a lot of lag in beginiing as I always do.
He and I took off at same time this time, I got 2 cars on him immeadiatley and then he stayed exactly there for the gear we were in, When I shifted I jumped 2 to 3 cars, I couldn't tell to well since it was night and I was kinda trying to drive, After 80 mph he was a good 7 cars back, after 110 or 115 I let off since we had gone akmost 1/2 mile or so.
He was 8 or 9 back at the end. I would have been impressed if he hadn't been spraying considering he had an NA V6 with just intake and inition, I still don't get why he had no exhaust yet a 50 shot of nitrous which easily rins 500+ on a 6 cyclinder app. I was just pissed he ran better than I thought when I have done well and beaten a lot better cars, goes to show ya ya never know what someone has, but I'm happy cause in the end he got OWNED.
