Currently buying all my mods. Just a couple more parts to go and hopefully after passing emissions, i'll put it all together(as i will be running no cats) by June/July. I don't really care what I run, I just want to beat my cousins newly modified civic. He challenged me with his ls v-tec engine w/ nos.

Anything with an 11 in front of it. :x:

Same setup as last year as seen in the timeslip thread except this year I'll have a proper clutch, a better tune, more boost on some race gas, and dedicated drag wheels/tires (Fd wheels with MT DRs). I'll also have my first weight reduction mods, lightweight flywheel and aluminum driveshaft.

MassSupra89
05-02-2006, 06:02 PM
Got some more work to do to my car then wanna run at least mid 13's on stock or upgraded CT-26, maybe pick up some DR's, but then I see a new clutch being needed, adding to garage time.
Having my car on the road at least 80% of the summer is my #1 goal.

I will take some pics and post em up for you when I get it back together, I got the entire motor apart for a rebuild since having an unschedualed high speed teardown. It is pretty nuts to ride, 1.05 to 1.1 60 foot time. It does 150 to 160 mph in the 1/8 mile and 180 to 200 mph in the 1/4 on one wheel. I let off the throttle a little at the end of the track so that the front tire will come down to trip the light instead of the rear tire.

Hoping to get in the 12's this summer, I"ll be upgrading my fuel system and turbo probably towards the end of june so hopefully I'll be able to get in the 12's. . .only thing that sucks is that all the close tracks to me are 1/8th the 1/4 mile track that I'm gonna have to go to is about 2 hours away. It'd be worth it if I can post up a 12.99 or better slip though!

rich you need to bring some of that fast-ness up to thompson sometime. How's that tranny coming along? I think dragfest is in july...and I highly doubt they would let you run a 6 second bike but...the car is another story.

My goal...quit running 14.9's @ 97mph
how I'm gonna do it: get a catback to bolt to the factory cat...which is bolted to a bic ddp. MT DR's, more boost...some other small things :D

Hey Whats up! I thought you was heading south? IIIIIFFFFF I ever get that damn tranny back from Marko I will be at Dragfest for sure. I ran a fuel bike at Thompson several times, but we only run a light 1/8 mile instead of the whole 1/4. That track is just too bumpy to do a real pass. I like Norwalk a lot better.

I've never made a pass at norwalk but I've been there before and it is realllly nice. Thompson pretty much sux for all bikes and most 8 second cars.

Was supposed to move but ended up short on funding which sux. Got a raise at work though and I need to get some go fast parts pretty soon, I'm getting bored with the car.

ohiosupras.org is having their big supra meet next month (15-18?) which should be fun, drag racing, dyno, q&a rally etc etc etc

haha...he's from ohio, he sent his transmission to a guy named marko who is known for building very capable auto tranny's (don't know where he's located)...I know...I sold him that transmission (can't wait to see it going really fast down the track)

06-04-2006, 10:44 PM
yeah, I am still waiting for that damn tranny to this day. This is Marko's shop in Chi-town called "STC" Everyone knows who Marko is unless you have been hidding under a rock. I sent that tranny to him a day after I bought it from you "Bill" and I still don't have it back. When was that, about 2 and a half months ago? I kept reading on Supraforums all the good things about STC and the trannys they build, but this is the first and last time I will ever send any work to them. I have called them about 10 times asking about it and I never get a return call or an answer to where my tranny is. From now on it will be IPT for me! I may have to walk to Dragfest at thompson dragway because my motor is still on the engine stand waiting for that tranny...

billspreston01
06-06-2006, 09:01 AM
is the motor all ready to go back in the car? What kinda setup you running? We could always bolt my 5spd to it and drop it in my car for dragfest :biglaugh:. I'm still trying to figure out how to get my car to go a lil faster so I don't show up and run 15's all day, I'd be more than happy with like low 14's all day long. I'm thinking all I can do for now is a nice drag radial, an mbc, and a boost gauge.

The big supra meet is coming up in like 2 weeks also, dyno, food, racing, food, beer, food....the usual. 4 day event but I think it's down near columbus and dayton. Should be fun (I'll prolly dyno at like 230 haha)

Don't feel bad, if you show up at dragfest without a car I'll let you make a 15 second pass in mine :nono:

Yeah, the motor is all done, just waiting for the tranny. A BPU 7m like yours can run a high 13. Thompson is like only 1200 feet high so the air is always pretty good there. I got every part you need to put that car of yours in the 10's. Lets open up that cash barrel you had stashed away for the move you never made!!!
