well i bought a 7MGE just for fun to build haha. Well i know i'm being lazy, i don't feel liek going through hundred of posts in a search. I was just wondering what can be done to the 7MGE engine to achieve 250-300 at the wheels? is it possible to push more? what's the stock hp? are their superchargers for the 7MGE? anyhelp would be great, i want to start building this engine to some type of monster hahaha

intake, headers, exhaust, clutch, flywheel, aluminun drive shaft, cam gears, underdive pullys(minus crank), fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, injectors, titan full race head, huge cams, high compression pistons, full standalone, metal headgasket, and a 150shot should get u there. Its more cost affective to take the stock turbo parts and just put them on the na. For more information you will have to search. Good luck

go thru this thread, and u find what you need.

and to be specific theres is no ITB kit for us but you can modify setups from different powerplants to fit.

In my opinion it is not worth going through all that trouble to reach 300 horses. Too much money, when you can turbo it, and reach 300 with NO problem.
Ive got a full intake, Ported and polished (manifold, Y pipe, Throttle body), Ractive piping, Test pipe, 3 inch RS*R exhaust and a short shifter.
Id be happy with 215 horsepower at the wheels. Very happy

i derno i'm trying to think of something different, or something you don't see very often with this car, everyone seems to go turbo. That's why i'm leaning towards all motor ITBs or SuperCharger. should i put the 7MGTE block on there since it does have the oil squirters... my friend said she'll sell me her extra one for 2 bills...

+1, you will probably never reach 300 whp na unless u spend a good 10000 on it, while you could spend a little over a grand and have 300whp with the stock turbo components

they dont mean, to stray u away from your ideas, its just a cost problem that u will run into and finding the parts may be a problem.
wanna do something unique still put a 2jz in it.

i think youd better go 2jz before you think about 300 + horses in a n/a

well i don't see a reason to go turbo because i already have a 91 turbo supra... i bought a 7MGE just to build for fun and to put in my cressida or something, that's why i'm thinking supercharger... even a stock 7MGE is better than the 5M =P is it possible to supercharge the 7MGE...?

Its possible. I dont think they make a bolt on kit for it. Im sure Ive seen one around before.

Im not sure, ive definatly seen 7mge Superchargers before. I bielive they ran close to $2500, but im sure it would put you close to the 300 mark with a little bit of Nitrous Oxide

WOW......$10,000? NO not that much. I've gone off the deep end with mine and I have not reached that much loot. Making 300-400 easy and budget minded with a turbo...YEA. Thinking out of the box, and doing something different will cost money. I already know how to shave $3000 from what I've done. Will I make more than 300whp...yup, 350...yup. Quiet as it's kept I will have two stages of nitrous. I'm going for 650-700whp on the gas! That is one of the reasons it has taken me this long. Back tracking and undoing a lot of things, cost time and money. Can a well built N/A beat a turbo car, hell yea!! You'll need nitrous and no chump 50 shot! Surprised no one caught this but a R154 in a N/A with stock 4:30 gears and a little nitrous (100+). You got yourself and turbo killer for what under a grand!! Throw in a few more parts ie: exhaust, header and some other goodies. You may not make 300whp N/A.. BFD!!! You just handed him his ass @ the end of a 1/4 mile. Guys the 5.0 crowd has been doing this for years, gears and nitrous! You want a turbo car buy one. Want something different build it!

But i think im still definatly going turbo.....
ive got a budget, and want to hit 400 horses easy.
But i am thinking how nice it would be to go N/A 300 + horses

If i wasnt so commited to going na-t, i would definetly get a nitrous kit.Ive been eyeballing the venom kit for quite some time now.http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/price/Toyota/Supra_86-92/Venom/Nitrous/Nitrous_Kits/part/VCN_1000_Computerized

"he's got enough nawzz in there to blow himself before...."
nvm........
I'd only run nitrous oxide on a built motor

If our ge's hit 275/300hp, There's really not to many things on the street that can whip your ass. I like the thought of the pumped up ge being a sleeper. If you want to find out what is under my hood......, Show me the money. F uck an eclipse spyder. And honda to for that matter. the new camry I saw today has 268hp stock. The problem we all face is that most of our cars are over 10 years old. I don't want a turbo. I don't need it. I like to drive the car that's half the fun. Just because the avitar say's kentucky....., Don't let it fool you. I lived in Los Angeles. IT doesn't matter how much boost you have if you can't drive your car. I think that's like lesson 1 in the book isn't it. OH...., Just in case someone was thinking it. I wasn't trying to bash anyone. I am only posting my opinion and there's a reason it's free.

Man it's an easy formula. By the time you get everything done (N/A-turbo). A grand has got you a stong 13.2 maybe 12.8 car! R154 good used= @ the high $500, good NOS kit $500. done!

I hear what your saying. I feel you Bro. But I am more into n/a power. My car doesn't have the top end I want but it get's out of the hole before you know it, and that's just playing around. Every honda I have ever green lighted has lost. I have yet to do anything to the engine to upgrade. I am trying to modify the stock air intake so that I get more hp but still use the stock k/n filter. Seems like that may save 20/25 $ every filter change.

I have a buddy that has a dremel...., I'm just going to open the front of the cannister, and call it good. And by the way...., removing the fan shroud even though it needed to be, because of it's poor condition, is not a good idea. Mine only had 1 bolt hanging on to the car. some one had like f ucking chicken wired it together or someshit........., geeeeez, buy a f ucking bolt you dolt! I myself have no use for doing things half ass'd. Buuuuuuuut, I will cut a corner if i think i can get the desired effect. much like modifying my stock intake. I have nothing to lose because if it doesn't work...., i'll fipk sometime soon. So why not try it myself first. I'm not looking for a big boost or anything. I'll be happy if I can tell a gain after doing it. Besides....., you just can't go wrong in any way helping these cars breath better.
