Life without ISC and Dash pot?

I have been doing a lot of searching and it seems that a few people are successfully removing the dash pot and idle speed control.
Can anyone say what life is like without these gismos? Anyway to compensate for their function?
My goal is to remove as much as the ugly stuff from the top of the motor as possible. All emissions are going, and anything else I can possibly get rid of. There will be no AC or PS either.

Dash pot or charcoal canister can be removed easily, and with zero consequences. Take the line coming from the tank that goes to the canister, and route it outside the engine bay. either that or terminate it close to the tank and drill a 5/32" hole in the gas cap to vent it.
EDIT: you can now also remove the vacuum hose going to the VSV on top of the thermostat housing, the hose going to the top of the throttle body, and the VSV itself (plug the hole)
ISC isn't recommended unless you feel like bumping the idle up to 1200rpm or so to compensate for any drag placed on the engine.

I hate high idle though...

ISC you can't really get rid of unless again you manually increase the idle or run a standalone ecu (iirc).

The dash pot - The only thing that you will notice is an occasional stall of the engine (or so it has been for me.)

Sounds good. The ISC isn't too ugly, but it would have been nice to clean that up. The dash pot will defiantly go!
